People still closing Tomlin are clueless. My God. He’s lead his team to, at worst, .500 with XFL starters on offense. Get real.

Ben looks fan because his beard is crazy. I’m growing mine out and my face looks huge as a result, but I’ve barely put on any holiday weight.

Once again, Dobbs sucks.

Then again it wouldn’t be HFBoards without excessive overreacting.

Is there an overreacting that is not excessive?

Or am I overreacting to the redundancy? Perhaps excessively?

I don't see the Steelers drafting offense unless it's a lineman.

Juju, JW, and Johnson is a solid young trio with potential.
Conner and Snell are a solid running duo with a good Oline.
The OL is the big weakness and needs to be addressed ASAP.

Maybe a TE, too. Vannett is not a TE1 and Vance can't seem to stay healthy/in form.

Steelers need:

- an all around back that can stay healthy, this means not Conner or Snell.

- to replace Foster

- to draft an athletic, pass catching TE

- and hope Roth is ok, if not none of the above matters much anyway

43 Yards

Didn't see the field for a second for the 5-10 Jags this year.

Dobbs, ladies & gentlemen.

Because they are paying 50 million for one QB and Minshew is a legit prospect. Of course he hasn't seen the field. At least their organization had the wherewithal to get Dobbs. While we relied on an UDFA and Paxton Lynch LOL incompetence at the highest level.

Dobbs was traded because the UDFA guy proved to be better.

Paxton Lynch is a practice squad guy who was signed a month after the trade. What does he have to do with anything?

That's not true. Dobbs was traded to coddle Rudolph. It has to do with the mismanagement of assets. You don't trade away a QB you spent 3 years developing for a 5th round pick. It's not worth it.

I would LOVE if the finale involved Trace McSorley beating JT Barrett. Should’ve happened 2 years ago, ugh. I mean the Ravens are going to win this game anyway, doesn’t matter who’s playing or not.

Josh Dobbs is terrible. He's worse than either option currently available to the Steelers. Get over yourself.

Maybe, maybe not. Rudolph and Duck are terrible, that's fact. Dobbs we don't know because we were stolen the chance to see what he has because of incompetence.

Dobbs can’t beat out Nick Foles or Gardiner Minshew but he could be Lamar Jackson.

People were ready to give up on LJ last year/his whole life. It takes somebody believing in you.

Is he not playing because of politics or because he's not good enough? I mean it would look really bad if you benched a 50 million gtd QB and your #1 prospect for somebody you traded for in the regular season.

The incompetence was his own inability to play better than Rudolph or Hodges.

He had a better resume than both of them. Rudolph played a little better this preseason. Who cares. You still don't trade the guy away when you know Ben is hurt to coddle Rudolph. Incompetence.

The majority have seen plenty in fill in time and pre-season. You're the only one remaining unconvinced. Chances are not great you're seeing something everyone else isn't.

Most fans don't even watch preseason LOL Sorry spending 3 years to develop a QB to trade him for a PS body when you know Ben is injured is stupid. The end.

Conner can’t stay healthy and barely a threat when he graces the team with his presence. Under no circumstances should this guy by your go-to QB. All of you would have been done with this guys long time ago if he hadn’t had such a good story off the field. I’m getting really tired of the Conner boys - the jury is out - he can’t stay on the field and he kinda sucks.

This is an entirely different argument than "Dobbs is Lamar Jackson." One possibly worth having, but they had him for three years and clearly saw enough. Perhaps the people around the team 24/7 have a better idea of what's there than you who has only seen him in pre-season and spot time.

I know losing Ben is an excuse for Tomlin in many people's eyes, however I think this offense being one of the worst Steelers offenses I've ever seen in my lifetime is absolutely a failure on this administration and coaching staff. To carry Mason Rudolph and Duck f***ing Hodges as your insurance policy to Ben is ludicrous. Ben is 37 years old and there was no backup plan?

I look around the league and see plenty of teams with passable backups with experience. Would guys like Matt Schaub, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyrod Taylor, RGIII, Tannehill, etc have come in and lit the league on fire? No, but it would look a lot better than one TD per game and praying Watt or Fitzpatrick could score a def TD.

If Ben comes back it's necessary to get someone better to back him up instead of lazily stocking the cupboard with guys like Mason Rudolph, Landry Jones, Josh Dobbs, and Duck Hodges. Get a competent veteran so losing Ben isn't such a death sentence.

That's my main argument. Just pointing out, I saw him do LJ things before LJ. He regressed this year when another QB who your coach is on record loving came into the picture. It's understandable. Ultimately this falls on Tomlin. Rudolph wasn't needed and screwed up Dobbs development. Difference with LJ is Harbaugh believed in him. There's a reason Rudolph fell to the 3rd round and if not for a pick from the Raiders it never happens. Mason Rudolph sucks.
