He may be. He may not be.

Your hate-b0ner for him is sad though.

Same can be said about Dobbs. Except I've seen Rudolph suck in 6 games now. We have an elite defense, DPOY, aging but still top o-line, weapons all around. He can't even Alex Smith us some wins. He sucks and I can say that's fact. Dobbs was never given the chance because we took a 5th round pick to coddle Rudolph. We will never know what Dobbs could have been. You can't say one way or another. I can say Rudolph and Duck suck.

Why are you choosing this hill to die on, especially after how rotten Dobbs was against Oakland last year?

In games Rudolph started, the Steelers went 5-3. Take out Cinci, fine: 4-3.

In games the HOFer started we went 0-2.

People who support Rudolph simply say he's a maybe. Meanwhile you say Dobbs is going to be Lamar Jackson. Your opinion is therefore totally invalid. You can say "Rudolph and Duck suck." But it would be better if you just said nothing at all.

For all of your hatred of him, he's done just fine - even good - outside of 6 bad quarters. 2 of which he mainly had Holton to throw to.

Your assessment that you'd take Rivers over Josh Allen right now seriously discredits your QB opinions.

I don't hate Rudolph, he's just not showing any growth at all. He's not giving a reason to think he's going to be more than what he is right now.

LOL. It doesn't really matter which one you take, neither are great, but you can't ignore the fact Rivers has been playing desperate trying to will a bad team to a championship before he has to hang it up. In a good offense, he's probably going to play well. This take and your d!ckriding of Rudolph pretty much discredits any football assessment you'll ever make.

It's pre-season dude. Lots of guys look good in pre-season then go on to be complete garbage. Pre-season means very, very little.

I get that. I still would have liked to see what he got. We spent 3 years developing him. The 5th rounder was not worth it. Anybody who says otherwise is delusional.

That Dobbs-Metcalf connection would’ve been a great one.

or something like that.

Ehh, I’ll believe it when I see it. But say that does happen, I think there’s some serious cap implications they could face here. I think if he retires, they’d face like a $55m cap hit or something absurd next season. So even if he can’t play, I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept him on the roster on IR to avoid that.

Whether Ben plays next year or not, need to sign a vet backup, keep Rudolph as QB3 maybe. Could still contend if the D is still good, but given the decline of the OL, we may need a bit of a rebuild. Suck a year and draft the new QB with a first round pick, possibly. Or don’t suck and hope you get lucky like the Ravens with Lamar.

John Harbaugh said Trace McSorley might play some this weekend. I would love that, Trace is the man. And better than Duck. Sad reality is they can still beat the Steelers and their Mickey Mouse offense with their backups, easily.

sounds realistic to me...I’ve always thought he was no sure thing to return after taking a year off or to actually be good enough to start again after his elbow injury at his age...so no surprise quite honestly
I mean just look at him!
He's probably gained 25lbs. Soon as I saw him on the sidelines I said to my friend watching the game... yep, he's never playing another game. He's mentally finished and going to retire.

The only person here who's suffering a delusion is you. Dobbs is garbage. He's probably never going play another down of regular season football. But I hear he's pretty knowledgeable about the game, so maybe we'll see him in a few years as an assistant OC or something.
