The more I am hearing and seeing about D-Petey and how he is quickly adapting to the AHL level is very intriguing. Pettersson is big, plays nasty, moves well and his first pass is good (future 3/4?), if he has another 15 game stretch of playing like this, maybe we can see him sooner rather than later. If Pettersson and Willander could both conceivably make the team next year (highly doubtful going with 2 rookie dman) would be a tremendous boon to the Canucks and the salary cap. I hope they both force themselves on the team but do know it is a longshot.

maybe....who knows what will happen lol

Quinn Willander
Pettersson Myers
Soucy Brannstrom

(extra Desharnis?)
I think you forgot about Hronek

Yep.

but looks pretty good if

Quinn Hronek
Myers Willander
Soucy Brannstrom
Pettersson

willander could have a Tanev affect on Myers.
Myers and Willander are both Right side d-men though. I think it's extremely unlikely that both Willy and D-Petey would be full time rookies next year. Mainly because i don't think you'd want 2 rooks on the same pairing. It is possible though. If we went:
Quinn- Hronek
Soucy- Willander
Petterson- Myers
Next year is so far from now, who knows if we add any d-men through trade or off-season ufa or whatever.

Alriksson with 2 apples so far. He's been doing better since getting on jett luchanko's line with namestnikov. Hope he sticks on that line.

Edit: Make that 3 apples. Beautifully deft back hand pass across the top of the crease to Luchanko who buries it.

Edit 2: 4rth assist for Alriksson. Power move to the front of the net but puck makes it to the point. Shot and goal. This is a very crazy game to watch. It's hard to describe the chaos of this game. After a major scrum, the Ice Dogs goaltender got kicked out of the game along with a number of players including Alriksson

Tough Scene watching this BU game
Taylor Makar doesnt even have a first name........

It's simply "Cale Makar's brother"

If they can't win a frigan opening series game they won't even make the tournament, as I dont like them in conference. The formula just faults you for weekend splits if you win the 2nd night.
so for those wondering, they can sign him for around 12 games

but that is a ways down the road.

This had to be Wilander's final seasosn at BU. They need to get him signed and into their system ASAP. Hopefully by mid-March.

Its really brutal to watch BU

like they take sooooooooo many franking penalties.
just rack that total up boys

they already lead the NCAA in penalties despite playing 3 less games than a distant 2nd place, and none of the other top 5 are serious teams this year

just add on another 8 minor penalties tonight for crying out loud
They are going to be at like 200 penalty minutes by like game 13

Vilmer Arliksson is just 19, but Hockey DB lists him at 6'6" and 234. How does a teen-age hockey player even get that big?

If he skated like Ogie Ogelthorpe, I guess you could temper your enthusiasm. But damn, this kid really is a very good skater and you see it in those highlights. And when he goes wide and takes the puck to the net, well at the junior level just 'forget about it'.

There's definitely something to work with here. Not surprised the Canucks inked him to his ELC. It's really too bad he's getting zero respect from the Swedish Ice Hockey officials picking this year's entry in the World Jr. Hockey Championships.

But not much doubt now, we'll see him in Abbotsford by March.
