Sadly me too ! I have had 17 cortisone shots in different parts of my low back

Damn that’s messed up… is it hockey related like me?

I did throw out my back getting a water out of the fridge last year in front of my daughter, she laughed until she realized I was in agony.

It was awesome.

You could convince me pretty easily that Fields goes for like a 3rd at best, just based on the current QB market. Between a strong draft year for QBs in round 1, a couple of good FA options and a low amount of teams looking for a new QB, it kinda squeezes any trade market for Fields IMO.

Outside of the Steelers, I think the teams that will be looking for a new QB are Chicago, Washington, New England, Denver, Atlanta, Minnesota and Tampa, with possibly the Giants and Vegas also looking for a new QB1. I think it's really just Vegas and Minnesota that could make sense for Fields, but would the Bears trade him in the division?

Chicago (Williams), Washington (Maye), New England (Daniels) and Denver (McCarthy) probably fill the QB position with their 1sts. Atlanta probably signs Cousins if you believe the rumors. Tampa probably retains Mayfield as their QB. The Giants are already paying Jones a ton of money, so I don't think they can afford Fields as well. That leaves just the Vikings, Raiders and Steelers. There's also still Nix and Penix in the draft, so the Vikings could also use their 1st (1 pick above Denver's) to take a QB as well.

Getting old and severe back pain go hand in hand, IMO

Yup my back refuses to calm down for the past year. Cortisol shots, flexiril, ice, heat, stretching, yoga. I've done it all. My wife wants me to stop playing but it's hard to imagine a life without competing.

Rumour I've been seeing is that the Falcons are heavy favourites to get Fields and the Vikings expect to keep Cousins. The video of Fields celebrating something while being told he's going home probably the heavy tilting point on that one.

Still, point stands is it's not a strong sellers' market. Although apparently some places have withdrawn the money line on him, so could be moot

Yeah that video had nothing to do with a trade lol.

That makes a lot more sense than an Atlanta trade that still hasn't materialised  Although it's also possible they're fronting. Nice murky one. Just as long as they don't give up anything significant to bring him here.
I do think we see him traded within the week though. I'm seeing tweets that say Arthur Blank really wants Kirk Cousins, and others saying they're going to trade up for one of the top 4 QB's. Who the hell knows.

Totally agree.

The issue with Vegas is they hired Luke Getsy to be their OC. Getsy was the OC in Chicago the past couple years and that marriage did not go well. I think Chicago could get to the point where they have to accept like a 4th rounder 2024+mid 2025 pick before the draft or they may have to accept what they can get at the draft.

I haven’t done anything competitively in a long time. It’s just the fact I’m approaching 40, haha. If I feel like this now, I don’t have any idea how I’ll feel at 50/60.

Blank just wants all the QB's that have appeared on Netflix

Hmm. I'm wondering whether Fields even finds a landing spot now.

Because it's, what...

Washington - Pick 2nd, they're fine
NE - Pick 3rd. There was a rumour they were interested, you can make a case for getting Fields and using 3rd on Harrison jnr, but latest chat is no
Giants - Probably QB interested, but Jones is occupying space for a while
Falcons - Make the most sense
Raiders - Surely nobody who thinks Getsy wasn't the problem at the Bears thinks that neither was Fields
Broncos - If Payton rolls Wilson out of town for not being able to get his offence, Fields seems like a real long shot too
Vikings - Divisional rivalry aside it makes sense if the Vikings can't keep Cousins, don't like a draft choice, don't like Wilson if available...

Who else? Maybe the Jets might put down a future pick to have him sit behind Rogers for a year (boy he'd love that). I can't think of any other ageing out QB situations like that where grabbing him makes sense.

I dunno. Maybe if the price is a 4th/5th, I withdraw my objection and say get him and see where the dice fall.

Honestly I'd do a 3rd for Fields. A 4th would be a bit more ideal but a 3rd is worth it.

Trade a 3rd for him and give him a guaranteed 1 year, $15 million deal for after his 4th year (same situation as Love). You'll have 2 years of Pickett and Fields together for less than $20 million combined, and if neither are it, then you blow up the QB room entirely.

I was actually wondering earlier today about whether it would be worth to use a 3rd or 4th on a QB to begin with. Trading that pick for Fields and going with Pickett and Fields for 2 years seems a far better use of that pick.

It's going to be us or ATL if I had to wager. Probably a day 2 pick
