HS concert was loooooong, but my trumpet-playing junior got to have a solo improv session in the middle of a choral piece. To double down on the improv, they took it upon themselves to climb to the raised part of the stage near the lighting fixtures and play from there. Super cool visual.
MS concert was a lot shorter, and overall pretty enjoyable. I still struggle with beginner bands, like 3rd grade. There's only so many times a guy can hear Go Tell Aunt Rhody.
So far negative on the covid rapid tests as well, so that's also a positive.
I don't think it was you unless you are old enough to remember when Florida was Spanish. Because this man is about that old.

Laying in bed perusing the spreadsheets from last night and I noticed that one of my bars sold ZERO drinks. They had 26 girls last night with some of the hottest girls on the Soi. Their bar is like an obstacle course to get to due to haphazard motorbike parking so traffic isn't ever the greatest. Looking at the sheet they had 33 short times, 14 bar fines to include one girl getting a 5 day long-term. Every girl had at least 2 drinks in my other bars but couldn't bother having one in their own bar, hell the mamasan had 7 drinks across the street. Not counting electricity, I had 15,500 payroll and they turned 22,500 in profit so it was a good night for that bar, especially if you count the added money they brought into my other bars
Uhh... can you translate this please, for those of us that don't manage bars. Or girls.
Or hell, those of us not even cool enough to hang out in bars talking to girls.

Short times is when sales are slow. Bar fines is attractive girls in it (I actually have no idea what it means)

Short time is the girl enticing the guy upstairs to their room to discuss political science and social justice for less than an hour. I get 350 for the room, anything else is between them. Bar fine is when the guy takes the girl out of the bar for an extended period. 1000 before 11 of which I get 800, girl and mamasan each get 100. From 1101 to 0100 it's 500 of which I get 300, after 0101 it's 300 of which I get 200

Got my bloodwork results and my WBC is dead center normal limits. That's a relief. Triglycerides are a bit high - gotta cut down on some cheese, I think. But hey, that's way better than the alternative.

So I was in Bangkok the last couple days doing some tests and had the very different dining experience. My current caretaker took me to visit her 83yo grandmother (great or maybe older than that but Thais don't quantify it) that still cooks and runs the same restaurant since 1953. This little hole in the wall with 6 tables only serves 1 dish and is packed all day long. Their one and only dish is pig brain soup, she cooks the broth all day and just drops the brain in a few minutes after you order. The broth is to die for, the brains aren't bad and basically melt in your mouth
You had me until "pig brain soup". Maybe I'm an uncultured barbarian but there are limits to what I'll eat.

While I've never been to China I can confirm. I used to work with a young Chinese woman who casually spoke of how, if given the opportunity, she'd try eating human meat. While she was very cute...

I forgot my doctor appointment was a physical and wore my weird-ass grogu boxers. They also gave me a robe big enough that I feel like I'm in a cult. Also spent 5 minutes arguing with my wife that today is Thursday. I'm so tired and so badly need this holiday break.
