It’s so great having an enforcer as long as he’s not a complete liability.

I used to love Reaves in yr 1 before his play really took a turn.

The entertainment factor is great lol, but it’s good to have someone ring the bell if things get nasty

Not sure why his fighting prowess is being doubted. The guy yesterday night beat him, but at very least he dueled Martin and Deslauriers to draws. Deslauriers as a fighting veteran pulled him down by the leg at the end to stop the fight because he was tired. That doesn’t constitute a win because you are better at getting a guy to the ground without punches.
It's the fact that he's eaten so many clean shots in the fights he's fought. He's fighting with next to zero defense, that's why it's being doubted. He got rocked last night, like really, really badly.

The fact that Olivier was able to land those shots flush and seemingly at will on a guy who dwarfed him in size is an area of concern.

He's clearly a big strong guy and is willing, which is a big part of it, but he has zero defense, it's like he never learned how to protect himself in a fight. He got f***ed up by like 3-4 uppercuts in that fight with Olivier, it was hard to watch. He just stood there and let it happen. The guy needs to learn some defense ASAP if he's going to drop with actual fighters.
it makes for very entertaining tilts, but if he doesn't learn to protect himself his brain is going to be scrambled eggs by the time he's 25.

Tough kid. Lots of enforcers and tough guys took their lumps early in their careers before finding their groove. As long as his body holds up, he'll be a force.

The amount of crybabies in this thread is unreal. Then again why am I surprised that the bubble wrap generation wants everyone else bubble wrapped.

He can easily beat the hell out of Xhekaj. Maybe not Reaves and MacDermid.

Rempe is only 21 years old, he’s still doesn’t have that fully grown man strength that those guys have.
Idk man I think wifi would be a tougher opponent than Reaves. Wifi has a certain type of rage which Reaves and MacDermid dont really show when they fight. *anymore

haven't watched a second of him outside of fight videos, is he any good as an actual hockey player?
Good for NHL? No, he won't be that. These enforcers are almost never an actual positive with their play on the ice.

Good for an NHL enforcer? There's a chance he could be. He has 2 points in his first 5 games (20 total minutes), and he was scoring at a good rate for an enforcer (who is 21 years old) in the AHL. His analytics have also been pretty good so far in the NHL, and he's been playing well outside of the fights.

When he’s on the ice we legit have better offensive possession than when we’re on the PP, he’s a menace on the forecheck and in front of the net, he also might be the fastest skater on our team.
