Anyways, I like fighting, but Rempe has a lot to learn. According to Olivier, it was Rempe that challenged him to a fight. That's maybe not smart to fight two days in a row.

He doesn't look that strong, despite Rempe's reach advantage, Olivier was able to punch him over his arm and under it. Reach is only a huge advantage if you can keep your opponent at distance.

Yeah I can sometimes fall into the camp of negativity on fighting in hockey, but then when they happen it so organically gives a whole lift of energy/intensity it's hard not to think it's actually a positive nuance of our game. It's crazy because just the fact that there's the "threat" of a potential fight (s) increases the legal/on-ice competitive drama when scrums and board battles occur; otherwise all of that feels domesticated and/stunted as far as possible "developments" and consequence. A little bit of lurking danger adds something to hockey and the NHL IMO.

last two fights, he has taken serious blows to the head
and i mean serious, especially vs Olivier, he got reckt in that one.

Here's the thing though. He has about 20 minutes of nhl experience under his belt through 5 games. And in those 20 minutes he has 1 goal, 1 assist, +1, 10 hits and 4 fights.

Any team and fan would be happy to have a 4th line nobody on their team come in and put up stats like that. Rarely happens. Will he keep it up? Almost assuredly no.

I'm rooting for the guy. But as a Rangers fan that goes without saying.

If you watch the games instead of just the highlights, you’d see that Rempe is actually a pretty decent skater.

With his size and speed along with his willingness to fight, he’ll be an excellent 3rd or 4th line player.
