The first Flyers 4th liner I irrationally loved was Branko RadivojevicI loved Darroll Powe.

I’m guilty if being overly fond if his play, but there’s no denying his value. You could always spot an Authentic Clown by the way they talked about Raffl. Just about the perfect bottom 6 forward, aside from his regular injuries and poor shot blocking technique.
And for a guy who had 160 P (151 ES, 4 PP, 6 SH) in 504 games for the Flyers, he was cheap.
2 x $1.1m
3 x $2.35m
2 x $1.6m
FYI- his son looks like a pretty good prospect for next year. The first Flyers 4th liner I irrationally loved was Branko Radivojevic

G said after that game Raffl said something like "I got this, boys" before that shot. G called him a funny guy. Good stuff
I think we all thought that about Boucher.Young Beef came away from the 00 playoffs certain that Boucher would be our long term foolproof solution in net. Then he taught me some important things about the nature of goaltending in the NHL
You may still be right about Farabee, he's taken his game up a level so far.I think we all thought that about Boucher.
Count me in the "Pitkanen will be a star" crew.
I thought Meyers was gonna be a 1st pair guy.
I also thought Farabee was a sure fire high end 2-way 1st line winger.
I guess the other question boils down to, at what point, realistically, does the Flyers management start to question whether he should be fired or not? If the Flyers are sinking even further in the next 15 to 20 games, I could see it happen.
There are too many issues, too few fixes and one dipshit coach who thinks he's doing nothing wrong.
Torts record as Flyers coach is now .453 (26th)
NHL Stats

PP is 14.4% (32nd), Net PP% is 10.7% (32nd)
PK is 75.4% (27th), but the net PK is 80.9% (20th) thanks to all the SHGs.
Pitkanen was going to hit Norris level. I suspect I’m not alone in this one.
Literally. He’s not completely useless like AV. He does bring structure in a sense of professionalism, how to show up and work everyday. As much as that gets made fun of, that is important when trying to perform at the highest level. It’s also clear that he takes care of his players….If you’re not…
To say Torts doesn’t have some value, that’s not true. But he also brings a measurable amount of negative value. It’s clear that he has ‘his guys,’ that is players who get more rope than others. It’s clear that he doesn’t understand and/or value high end skill as much as it should, it’s clear he’s not a good communicator in that he doesn’t (at least last year didn’t) talk to players one on one. His personality is divisive by nature. He will purposefully scratch players in their hometown to send a message. And his worst trait, he thinks he’s the smartest person in the room, and only thinks his way is correct.
This rubs players and mgmt the wrong way. It’s why he has a shelf life of 3-5 years.
Torts will move up not out.I guess the other question boils down to, at what point, realistically, does the Flyers management start to question whether he should be fired or not? If the Flyers are sinking even further in the next 15 to 20 games, I could see it happen.

Knoblauch is a very good coach, but is he available?Always intrigued by Knoblauch.
I didn't complain about Laviolette. But that's because he was competent overall in a way we haven't seen from a Flyers coach since he was fired.
