Prolly shouldn't be surpirsed at how he's deflecting questions about their pp after a lost game 78 of a season where they've surrendered multiple points to bad pp, but geez. He just doesn't care one bit about them sucking to score on the man advantage all year. Or he knows they lack pp talent, but can't admit it and rather talk about how some players need to take another step mentally, or that they're not mentally tough enough. I get this crap early on in the season, so as not to let it become an issue, but we're four games away from the end of the season. I've repeatedly given him credit for organizing everyone onto the same page and for allowing dmen to be very aggressive in exchange for the team almost never trying cross-ice passes. He could easily not allow the passes and hold dmen back.

Of course, the restriction on playmaking destroys offense, so it's hard to say it's a great tradeoff. But it's better than it could be.

Doctors were probably telling Torts take it easy with Coots minutes. Almost 2 years of the ice has never been a return to when you were not injured right away. But we get it you bow before our God Emperor. ALL HAIL KING TORTS!
