Notice the difference in how he talks about a consistently horrible defensemen compared to one of our best young players.

He pushes through all the shit to conjure up a compliment. Meanwhile he pushes through all the good to find a way to criticize Frost.

It’s not possible to defend this guy and pretend he’s anything but detrimental to player development.

Torts is finally right about something because he definitely IS in the way.

He's also right about how ugly the guy is.

"Oh my god, he just looks so ugly".... that's because he f***ing is, Torts. And so are you, ya smug bastard.

Ugly to look at as a person, ugly as a person (his stance against Pride), and ugly on the ice with his play.

He's so ugly in so many ways I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to discover he stinks, too.

TORTS fixed Sanheim. Haters gotta hate, I guess.

He's one of those guys who looks like he had a nose job by a doctor who hated his guts.

Frost has as many points in his last 4 games as Foerster (17 games) or Cates (18 games) have in their entire seasons.

Don’t ever let anyone say that the roster is based on performance or players need to “EARN IT”. That is a lie.

There’s literally nothing Frost could do to be in this lineup. Torts will never allow it.

Frost being a healthy scratch again is disgraceful. Trade him somewhere else and let him play.
Shades of the past.
Johnny Oduya, who was claimed off of waivers from the Ottawa Senators earlier this week to add depth to the blue line, made his Flyers debut on Sunday because Andrew MacDonald suffered a lower-body injury during Saturday night's in a 7-6 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Oduya's first game in a Flyers sweater did not go well. First, he was beaten badly on the game's opening goal by Aleksander Barkov. Then, he went down to injury during the opening seconds of the third period and did not take another shift.
Head coach Dave Hakstol told reporters that Oduya was "dinged up" after the game and was unsure if he would be available against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
With MacDonald and Oduya both out, this could be a chance for Travis Sanheim to make an impact! "
Same as it ever was.

At the end of last season, Torts stated exactly what he thought this team needed. PK’ers who can score 10-12 goals a years. Then, the flyers actually signed these two guys, one of them over 30, just to appease Torts.

In year 2 of a rebuild, he’s scratched the 50-point/ES scoring leader of last season half of the games. The only other forward he scratches consistently is the 50-point pacing Bobby Brink.

It was at this time last season that “hockey ops” had to tell him to play Frost with actual offensive talent. But now, they have signed these ‘Torts guys’…But I just can’t see any changes like this going forward this year. It’s going to be like this until someone is traded or Torts is fired.

(Edit - I hate this damn site on mobile!!)

Hathaway will be lucky to get to 12 points. But to be fair, he is chained to Deslauriers. I can't imagine he's ever had a more useless regular linemate since he became a fulltime NHLer in 2017:

17-18: 59 GP, 13 P
18-19: 76 GP, 19 P
19-20: 66 GP, 16 P
20-21: 56 GP, 18 P
21-22: 76 GP, 26 P
22-23: 84 GP, 22 P
23-34: 21 GP, 3P
