This was ~ a year and a half ago.

Karlsson was older, significantly more expensive, and although he had just had a great year, his value had been reduced because he had struggled a bit after leave Ottawa.

You misread my point, Buffalo has dahlin, Colorado has Makar, they are both elite 1D, they don't NEED a Quinn Hughes. Everyone else will want to trade for Hughes.
