Of course the article is NY-leaning but my main takeaway is that he seems to want grass over turf which may hurt our chances of re-signing if we want to.

Yeah, but I doubt he feels different about that now than he did last year.

Meh. He has been pretty good for us but if he leaves we have a great replacement in Varsho. With or without Kiermaier re-signing we are probably going to have the best defensive CF in baseball next year.

We need to add some more offence to the lineup and moving Varsho to centre and bringing in a better bat for left could help. I wouldn’t be disappointed if KK is back and Varsho is in left again but it’s probably not the route I would go if I was the one making decisions.

I haven’t looked that deeply into who would be available yet. I know Bellinger is available but that is probably bigger game hunting then I am suggesting. Eddie Rosario is interesting. And well Gurriel…..lol

And trades I’d have to leave that to some of the more knowledge board members than myself. I don’t really know who would be available right now.

My expectation is Biggio/Schneider will platoon at 2B next season with Biggio also finding playing time at other positions.
