There really isn't much available on the position player market. As middling as DeJong offensive numbers are he's probably the best they can get. I don't hate the acquisition and think he's an upgrade on who they already have.

Having a great season in A+ ball, but he's also a 24-year-old reliever. That's close to nothing.

Yup and De Jong has a 12.5 m option for 2024. Looks like a 2 month rental and the cards getting some money off the books early. Price looks good.
