With Luplow being DFA'd, Hatch seems like the only DFA candidate left on the 40-man right now. They still need to make room to activate Ryu today and Green soon.

I think we'll see a couple guys off the 40-man moved out in any other deals today.

I am thinking that too. Likely some younger guys and maybe even Biggio or Espinal

IMO, Dejong at that price means that Espinal could be moved to fill another gap (swap out the backup SS)

I think if Bo was out long term they likely would have targeted Anderson?

Don’t think they can afford to take a chance on him figuring out how to hit again down the stretch. Plus less money owed to DeJong.

Also DeJong’s BB profile (flyballs, more barrels) is certainly more attractive than having another slap groundballer.

Yeah Anderson is killing worms at an insane rate this year while being an average runner. Maybe that HR on Saturday will spark things for him (ie, start lifting the ball more), but it just doesn't seem like his lower body is at full strength

Surprised the O's haven't done much
They're talking about that right now on the FAN 590. It seems their GM views 6 years of control for a young player to be worth more than a couple of years than a veteran. At least according to the Os reporter from the Baltimore Sun that they were talking to.
