Of course I expect it to be bumped, especially on the main boards. But absolutely nothing said about the turn around they've had recently. Just pointing out that the thread died right as they won the first game of that recent run.

It’s the hf boards ethos. When a fan expresses optimism and says something overly positive about his/her preferred team the naysayers have to shout that poster down. Reality being what it is most teams will have ups and downs so the negative posters can pile on during the bad streaks. You can find numerous examples for various teams. The other thing you see is a small number of posters suggesting something for a team and that somehow becomes the opinion of every single member of that fan base.

I mean, sure, when a fan of that team creates an embarassment for his fanbase it's one thing, but when the fanbase has nothing to do with it, well that's entirely differently. The thread gets bumped by rival fanbases mocking how bad NYR were playing just to get a laugh in at the fanbase. It's expected. But it should be expected that when things are going right it'll be shoved right back.

NYR still have a lot of problems despite going 8-1. We know.

The Rangers are the same shitty team they were when Lundqvist was there. If the goalie doesn’t stand on his head they lose, same story. Kakko and Laf are huge busts, just awful.
