Anyone remotely surprised by Torts being a preference of this organization hasn’t been paying attention.

It’s a match made in “heaven” for this organization and fanbase in that they’ll both get 100% what they deserve.

Oh that first time he goes apeshit on a ref will make him a legend. Inject it into my veins!

The hockey men of previous generations have done a good job of creating a monopoly for themselves that these arguments still exist. Who else are you gonna hire but these recycled names?

The best coach in hockey didn’t play pro hockey & wasn’t related to anybody within the league old boys club. Jon Cooper had to win big at every level to keep getting better opportunities for himself. You’d think the league would be more interest in trying to unearth guys like that.

100%. Sucks, but you have to hope he remains a question and they go with option B.

Charlie talked about Ellis’ situation on that after the end of the season presser on that last BSH podcast. By the end of June/beginning of July when the off-season Ellis should have a few months of treatment in by then. The Flyers are/were hoping that would bring more clarity to the situation by then. It is/was still up in the air for better or worse but Charlie didn’t sound optimistic about Ellis even if he plays at some point next year. Not that it’s a forgone conclusion or anything but he mentioned that Ellis could never play again as possibility. It’s on the table as an potential option apparently.
