Alas, what prospects besides Reichel? We have seen most of the others and there ain't much there to develop.
Talking about D and there's 5 guys who are at the point of being able to play NHL but are in the AHL

Able? As in pretty much the same as Hawks have now? The only blueliner above "able" is Seth. Boqvist had potential but he's gone. Beaudin started out looking promising but fizzled. Galvaz is a maybe, Caleb has disappointed. Who else can come in and have an impact?

As in, they are at the age and develop point where it is NHL games they should be getting.

Kalynuk, Beaudin, Regula, Mitchell, Galvas and the youngest but looked okay but should stay in the A is Isacc Phillips.

It's not blow the water down be better, if they're equal and you can trade the veteran, do so. Especially when Kalynuk is 24 and Mitchell is 23 now.

Non of those play better than CDH or Murphy at the moment. Only thing those have better is age.

Letting Kampf walk never made a lick of sense. He was a useful piece with clear defensive impact. Even without a surge in production he would have been worth keeping at the price he was asking.

But we let him walk so we could fill our 4th line with energy plugs who bring nothing.

So irritating.

The same could be said about any Blackhawks player, current or past.
Kampf is a good skater, checks well, good on the draw as well as the PK. It made no sense to trade him away considering the state of this team that in general can't check its suitcase, can't win a draw and is poor on the PK.

Fun fact, they didn't even trade him. They let him walk as a UFA for nothing. Kampf could have made the 4th line respectable on his own, oh well.

They didn’t resign him after his first signing…then they did as a UFA…the Hawks have refused to match players the last couple of years…

The 4th line a better line of the bubble and to start the next season on the team, because of Kampf.

Because the team was bad it suddenly made so many seem to forget or ignore how a good 4th line matchup unit can be. Even so, Toronto probably needs more forwards make him a 4th line and not 3rd liner there.

This is what happens when people follow a really really bad team. They long for a former bad player that was part of a bad team.

2020-21 Blackhawks PK 76.8% League position = #28 (With David Kamp)
2021-22 Blackhawks PK 75.2% League position = #28 (Without David Kamp)

I cannot recall any shedding of tears on this site when Kamp went to Toronto. Decent skater, good on face-offs with absolutely terrible hands. Nothing more than a below replacement level forward.
