Six games is a small sample size, but Hagel has only had 4 shots on goal in 6 games, and 3 of them came in one game. It's not an impressive start.

Won't be surprised if this is what he's like this year. He's been getting less minutes and opportunities than he did here this year. Once Palat leaves in the off-season, his stats should improve for them.

Hagel's corsi has actually been pretty bad with Tampa so far which kind of surprises me.

But his role is different over there. He gets like 12 minutes of ice time, worse linemates, and he's not on the PP.

LOL at this quote from Oduya in the latest 32 Thoughts:

As mentioned, Oduya is a fitness fanatic, but said no one compares to Keith. “(He’s a) physical and mental phenomenon. A lot of his power is not just in his body, it’s actually in his mind and mindset. I admire him a lot. I loved being in Chicago for that reason. All of a sudden all of these extreme things and weird things that I liked to do but couldn’t do in other places, that was possible to do in Chicago. It was seen as something positive. ‘You want to do something extra to win, OK, do that.’” Who had the worst diet? “(Brent Seabrook) was like the human trashcan, he would put down anything he could.”

Hagel has had a slow start with Tampa. Just 2 goals (no assists) in 9 games for them, and one of those goals was an empty netter against a shit team.

He had 94 shots (on goal) in 55 games for us this year, but only 10 shots in 9 games for the Bolts.

In comparison, Raddysh has 5pts in 9 games since the trade, with 18 shots on goal.

This has been your reminder that you can't pluck a solid scorer from one team and put them on another team's 3rd line and expect the same results. Though he may do better next year once Palat leaves.

Exactly as expected but I bet if you asked Hagel he would say he is a happy camper to be where he is.

I forget if it was the conference final or cup final but I distinctively remember a play with Oduya and Rosival both crashing the net in the offensive zone at the same time. Good ol’ tachycardia.

You took a depth scorer playing up the lineup and properly slotted him on a team that's contending. His offensive output suffered. Somebody on bad teams is going to score.

Yep.

It's one of the reasons I couldn't understand people here insisting he was a perennial 50pt guy. For us, maybe, but he wasn't gonna be that on a playoff team, at least one with good forward depth.

Still a good player, just not as good as what he was here this season.

Show some respect. Seabs is one of the main reasons that Hawks fans are able to gloat about their 3 Cups in recent times.
You can appreciate what Seabs did on the ice for the Hawks while simultaneously acknowledging that there is anecdotal evidence that he didn't stay in the greatest shape. Whether that contributed to his injuries, who knows?

Hagel has an xGF% of 64%, SCF% of almost 55% and a HDCF% of almost 56%. He's getting acclimated and he's in a smaller (and more suitable) role. That line is still performing very well. The points will come, just not like they did with his role in CHI.

Edit: Oh, and his PDO is 91 lol. That's going to come back to up.

I make the Hagel trade all day considering what we got in return. This team is rebuilding and while I really like Hagel as a player, we got max value. Two first round picks is a lot. He played first line minutes and PP with Hawks and is projected to finish with 47 points on a high shooting %.

I am not sure but there were others freaking out.

Anyone seen Flower's new setup...google it as it is nasty (in a good way).
Yep, there were.

I agree with BK. Hagel was well-liked by everyone in Chicago but an overpayment like that couldn't be turned down on a rebuilding team.
