LOL at this quote from Oduya in the latest 32 Thoughts:

As mentioned, Oduya is a fitness fanatic, but said no one compares to Keith. “(He’s a) physical and mental phenomenon. A lot of his power is not just in his body, it’s actually in his mind and mindset. I admire him a lot. I loved being in Chicago for that reason. All of a sudden all of these extreme things and weird things that I liked to do but couldn’t do in other places, that was possible to do in Chicago. It was seen as something positive. ‘You want to do something extra to win, OK, do that.’” Who had the worst diet? “(Brent Seabrook) was like the human trashcan, he would put down anything he could.”

Tell us something we don't know, Johnny. The only guy who took his fitness less seriously than Seabs, was Big Buff.

He also said Buff. But as people laugh at that, these guys were still Great players until 31/32. Had they really been the best health freaks at best they would of been good an extra 2/3 years then have fallen off the cliff.

I make the Hagel trade all day considering what we got in return. This team is rebuilding and while I really like Hagel as a player, we got max value. Two first round picks is a lot. He played first line minutes and PP with Hawks and is projected to finish with 47 points on a high shooting %.

I make the trade any day again too. My point was just that I'm not concerned about his production. That line has been strong for TB. They're going to be a sorts of problems for opposition teams in the playoffs.

The future of Hawks blueline thriving elsewhere after being given away by Hawks because the "Great" Jeremy Collition didn't like them, and our idiot GM sent them packing

You left out Coach Q who really didn't seem to like Forsling either.....

Huh that couldn't be further from the reality. Q loved him too much and played him too soon. Q put him in top matchup roles and heavy on the PK. Those things are high honor from Q
In 2018-19? I certainly don't recall Q playing him much over 18-20 minutes a night prior to him getting canned. In fact I remember Forsling's ice time really dropping as the season went on until Q was fired...

Forsling was injured at start of that season and didn't return until several games after Q was fired

Forsling ice time dropped dramatically a month into Colliton era as he started to find his way into doghouse

The season before Q played Forlsing 20+ minutes 16 times (27 times of 18 min+ overall)

Under Collition, Forsling only played 20+ minutes just 6 times and all 6 of those times were in his first month of coaching ,, After that Forsling TOI decreased and he was frequently target of JC (As was Joker). Infact after that first month Forsling only played 18+ minutes just 4 times under Colliton

Q loved Forsling's talent and potential its one of the reasons he ended up in Florida

Well I take it all back then (it was tongue in cheek anyway since you never blame Q for anything)...

but looking under when JC was coach he played Forsling a ton when he came back that year, then from 12-18-18 on something happened and he fell off a lot. There is a stretch of 7 games where he was playing 20 plus minutes a night under JC....I can't recall what happened for that kind of drop off...

Unlike BWC I actually watch all Panther games (7 in person). Forsling is nothing special very average 2nd pair guy. Good for at least one bad giveaway a game.
I laughed last week when he pointed out forslings 2 goals. He was actually worse than normal in his own end.
Every body on the panthers scores. His matchups give him prime opportunity.
Good on him for capitalizing but he’s not the star someone thinks he is.

Bowman both traded for and traded Forsling…

Andrew Ladd to ATL for Ivan Vishnevskiy and pick(Adam Clendening)

Adam Clendening to VAN for Gustav Forsling

Gustav Forsling and Anton Forsberg to CAR for Calvin deHaan and Aleksi Saarela

Aleksei Saarela to FLA for Ian McCoshen

Andrew Ladd got us
Clendening 4gp 1g 1a 2pts +1 2pim
Forsling 122gp 8g 19a 27pts -4 42pim
deHaan 142gp 6g 18a 24pts -27 57pim

Exactly. He has an agenda and will promote it whenever the opportunity arises.

We sure could use a average 2nd pairing Dman that can score goals on our team. I don't recall BWC calling him a star.

I noticed this, too. He isn't great defensively by any stretch.

Boqvist ended up having a disappointing season. Hopefully he can get it together, but likely needs to work on his skating and put on some weight.
