He wasn’t drafted until 2 years after his draft eligible year.Totally random, but man did I think Shaw was a bit older. He is still only 30 years old feels like he was here forever ago... He jumped right from the CHL after his draft and turned pro, maybe that's why he is younger than I was thinking..
Did he turn pro after his draft? Yes. That is what I said. Whether he was passed up or not he still had eligibility left yet turned pro.He wasn’t drafted until 2 years after his draft eligible year.
Shaw (from where he started) is a huge success story. He was however aging out of juniors. There are very limited “overage” slots (I believe per team) he wasn’t offered one and for a standard junior player his eligibility was over.Did he turn pro after his draft? Yes. That is what I said. The humor is Kane called him a 19th round pick. Passed over for 2, 7 round drafts and picked in the 5th round the 3rd year.Shaw (from where he started) is a huge success story. If you read his story, he actually secured a job at a local factory. When he left to join the hawks his coworkers have him a wristband (bracelet?) to remember where he came from. He kept it in repair and wore it on ice his entire career.
Kudos to Evason for sticking with Fleury and not going to Talbot. Thought for sure since Talbot was their goalie most of the season that he would get his chance, apparently not.
Alex Nylander with the OT series winning goal... for the AHL Penguins
He's one of the few NHL players who could make our defense even slower.TVR took some punishment from puck tonight blocking shots
Really miss TVR in Chicago
And it would still improve. He's one of the few NHL players who could make our defense even slower.
I'd be happy to have TVR back on so long as we were guaranteed the coach would keep his ass on the 3rd pair where every other team he's played for knew well enough to put him.TVR took some punishment from puck tonight blocking shots

As long as a team has better Dmen than Rozsival, Gustafsson, Svedberg and Daley that shouldn't be a problem.I'd be happy to have TVR back on so long as we were guaranteed the coach would keep his ass on the 3rd pair where every other team he's played for knew well enough to put him.
And he was paid commensurate with a 6th dman role, obviously.
