if joki was the missing piece he would've been here and not traded for an ahl forward
It's not hard to be better than their 3rd pair and he was fine that year as a mid pair guy in Buffalo, it's these missing pieces that win cups.

This just point reminds me of the reverse a guy on here, that I think is gone, that said the Hawks should of drafted Vasilesvki instead of Teuvo. And thinks the Hawks would of found a replacement depth anywhere w/o drafting Teuvo(hows that worked for Toronto or eve. 2014 Hawks) but If those teams swapped those picks, Tampa might of beat the Hawks. Maybe not cause Tampa still had such a weak bottom 3 D in Sutr, carle, and Coburn getting shelled a lot & no top 4 machines like Chicago. But those extra depth pieces do matter. It's part of the risk of a 1st round goalie pick.

Raanta with the shutout. He’s a decent goalie when he can stay healthy.
Decent? He’s an incredible goalie and when I was saying we should keep Raanta and get rid of Crawford people were up in arms, clueless in here is incredible…

Looks like Bruno may not be the Panthers coach going forward

Started playoffs with potential of having interim tag removed but now its open talk the Panthers may move on

Was surprised how he did so little. Not even a little of the Q blender by him (Panthers needed it) as he just stayed the course as the panthers season sank

You were advocating keeping Raanta over Crawford and you think hindsight illustrates that you were right? The dude's career high in GP in a season is 47. He's only played 30+ games in a season twice in nine years. Their career stats are basically identical, but Crawford played more than twice as many games. Come on.

At the time I advocated it, it would been an excellent move now looking back, that’s not even debatable, I am not even sure how you are debating this exactly. Not only getting rid of an aging Crawford which woulda brought back something in return but also saving that cap space which could have been spent elsewhere to improve the team. AND YOU HAVE A CURRENT GOALIE WHICH THE HAWKS DONT HAVE NOW. The arguments in here get weirder and weirder honestly, there is zero logic in what most here say, it’s like there are only a handful of people who see what’s going on with this team and what’s been going on. For example go read the Saad/Panarin trade thread, it’s eye opening.

How does all of this logic gel with the entire MAF endeavor that yielded a 2nd basically for free? How does this logic gel with the apparent desire to lose every game? Why would the Hawks even want Raanta when on his own he doesn't make them a playoff team? Such a bizarre alternate reality you are trying to sell as being a better option.

You're not sure how I'm debating Raanta having been our starter in hindsight? You can read, right? The man, after leaving CHI, averaged *26 games* per year -- and that average is inflated by the *one* season he played 47 games. If CHI would have dealt Crawford and kept Raanta, they wouldn't have had a starter bc Raanta's never been healthy enough to carry the net.

Who cares what Crawford did in his career, it’s what he did or didn’t do after I said it’s time to trade him is what matters. It’s about timing things, most of you here would be clueless how to trade stocks, you would hold them forever, it’s time to let things go at one point in time. Seriously there is no point in talking on here, most have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, even when I say is true years later people will still come how many some pathetic argument. Go read the Saad/Panarin thread and make sense of that please.

Crawford's demise came due to some nasty concussions after Raanta was gone from this organization.

If you are able to predict years ahead of time when concussions will occur in an individual, I suggest you join the medical community and teach them your magical abilities. Otherwise you have blood on your hands.

So you said to trade him after he won the Stanley Cup lol. (That's when Raanta was traded). And after the stanley cup, he posted top 5 goalie numbers for the next 3 years after that.

Yet Raanta did jack squat in any of those years, and even this year.

Just admit you were wrong, it's not hard.
