Boqvist ended up having a disappointing season. Hopefully he can get it together, but likely needs to work on his skating and put on some weight.

Meanwhile, Noah Dobson, taken a few picks after Boqvist, just ended the season with 51 points.

Boqvist was always supposed to take longer though and Dobson/Bouchard only flourished this year

Though Dobson was who I wanted, we already had the Undersized RHDs, with Joker and Mitchell.

But if he was taken he would of been at the same 8 spot... I know it's a joke

But maybe just maybe they wouldn't of shipped Joker because they had too many undersized D prospects because they only drafted undersized D prospects

I didn’t even realize he was doing that well. Good for him, he’s actually who I wanted on draft day. Rare time I actually got it right.

I would have been happy with Dobson. I was very anti-Bouchard. I wanted Boqvist obviously.

It had a lot to do with skating.

Dobson was the safest pick in my opinion and Boqvist had the highest ceiling. Bouchard was not on my list.

Unlike BWC I actually watch all Panther games (7 in person). Forsling is nothing special very average 2nd pair guy. Good for at least one bad giveaway a game.
I laughed last week when he pointed out forslings 2 goals. He was actually worse than normal in his own end.
Every body on the panthers scores. His matchups give him prime opportunity.
Good on him for capitalizing but he’s not the star someone thinks he is.
That doesn’t make it any less annoying to see Forsling and Jokiharju playing well in their respective circumstances. Bowman flat out said in a press conference that the only way to build a defense is by drafting them then did a 180 and traded them all except Mitchell.

Hawks wanted Hughes BIG TIME…end of story, they didn’t get Hughes
I thought that both Boqvist and Hughes would be off by the time the Hawks picked at 8.

I thought it was going to be between Dobson and Bouchard for them. I did think that Kotkaniemi would be on the board as well. I did not see him going top 3. Thought MTL would take Brady Tkachuk and Ottawa would go Hughes or Boqvist.

The hope of Fleury returning us a 1st is pretty much gone at this point. They probably start Talbot next game, and if he wins, they'll go with him. If they lose, the Wild are pretty much done anyway.
