Confirmed Trade: [CGY/PHI] Morgan Frost, Joel Farabee for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, 2025 2nd, 2028 7th

Philadelphia has a treasure trove of draft capital for this upcoming draft, which you like to see, and could be gearing up for a tank in the McKenna Draft.
Well, yes. But if they spend that capital on Bonk and Luchanko when Perreault and Buium are available... it's being misused. And, while I 100% believe they should be tanking for McKenna... they should have also been tanking for Schaefer, Martone, or Hagens from the rip. Instead, they refuse to deal vets like Laughton and Ristolainen because they're too worried about scratching and clawing at meaningless wins. After all, it meets their outdated philosophy. Basically, the Flyers have no long-term vision and they never have -- they live in the moment. Plus, we know McKenna is a lock to be a Penguin. :sarcasm:

Brzustewicz is doing perfectly fine in the AHL, not many small puck moving d-men are able to put up a solid PPG like that and it's not like he's a top pick either.
They're also ignoring that Bruiser had a slow start as he adjusted to the AHL with just 2 points in his first 18 games. He has 13 points in 24 games since

Just a reminder, the Flyers PP the last 4 years has been:

Last
Last
Last
28th

And it's run by Flames legend Rocky. So both Frost and Farabee have PP upside just by changing teams and a competent PP scheme.

This reminds be of when Florida traded McCann and Bjugstad for a dead Brassard and some mid picks, except it's worse than that because Farabee is way better than Bjugstad.

I guess Kuzmenko is supposed to be a Russian friend for Michkov? Random trade is random. Like something out of the 90s.

I'm really going to miss pelts I still think he can be a good 2nd line winger but hard not to see this as a win. We are desperate for a center and while Farabee has really struggled this year he also has good upupside
Give it 5 games....and you will be wondering how you guys managed to get 2 guys with 2nd line upside for so cheap

Weird thing for the team to tweet out
You know multiple people work at the organization? It's not really expected that some fluff photo would need to go up through the highest of echelons on the hockey operations side who actually knew about the potential of a trade.

It's not like when Dube went on mental health leave...
