Toews hadn't played hockey in a long time before this season... we didn't even know if he would play in the first place

Despite that, he's on pace for 40+ points and driving good metrics

Not sure why you'd take a shot at him
Not a shot, just stating that preseason is preseason

A projected 40 point/zero goal 1C making $10.5M is going to get some criticism.

and rightly so...

IMO Toews and Kane should simply play on the same line and let Kirby have both cat and kubalik on his line...

when everyone is healthy

Hagel-Toews-Kane
Kubalik-Dach-Cat (switch wings if they like)
Borgstrom-Strome-Kurashev
????-T Johnson-????

????= any of Gaudette/JK. Carpenter/Entwistle/R Johsnon/Nylander

if Reichel gets a shot then I would say play him with T and K for a bit.

Reichel-Toews-Kane
Kubalik-Dach-Cat (switch wings if they like)
Kurashev=Borgstrom-Hagel
????-T Johnson-????

Brouwer made a nice career for himself. 7th round draft pick, played 14 years, made around 34+ mil or so in his career, played 851 NHL games, won a Stanley Cup, etc.
Scored winner against us in outdoor game as a Capital
Scored winner against us in game seven as a Blue
Traded to Caps for a first(Phillip Danault)

Stan the idiot didn’t make just one bad Saad trade but THREE lol, how’s stupid can a human be its unbelievable.
As far as I'm concerned Saad should have been a Hawk all along.
Unfortunately, Stan screwed himself into having to deal away (too many) players because of his poor cap management... and Hawks continue to pay the price to this day.

Its not easy to trade a guy and trade for a guy like 3 times and lose each deal.
