GDT: 2024-25 other games around the league

As slimy as I feel inside rooting for them, it would be awesome if the Isles went on a run to the deadline in legitimate playoff contention if it took Brock Nelson off the trade market.
The Isles are okay. The Rags on the other hand..

Remember in the 2019 playoffs when Martin Jones gave up the first goal within 5mins in almost every single game we lost? I think it was like in 8/10 games or something

You know it's bad when you're being compared to the current iteration of the Sharks.

LA healthy scratching Brandt Clarke. I understand if folks still prefer him to Eklund, but this supports my view that it's too early to say Clarke was for sure the guy we should've picked.
Weekes seems to think he might get moved and in the interview Sheng did with GMMG he mentioned he was open to more deals like the one he did for Askarov...

Free preview of Zeev Buium's NHL career. Clarke can't skate or defend just like Zeev.

This isn't a smurf thing. Clarke is average NHL size but you can't trust a defenseman who skates and defends that poorly while taking extreme risks with the puck to play in your top 4 if you're trying to contend. LA probably realizes this and are trying to trade him while he still has value.
More a reference to Buium

Eklund rocks. Right now, he's clearly better than Clarke, but Clarke is a 6'2" RHD with high-end offensive ability. Clarke's upside is what makes me have to think which guy I'd prefer, in addition to our black hole at RHD. Eklund is safer and better right now, no doubt.
