That's not a terrible bottom 6, they can score, but JC wants defense first, he just doesnt know how to teach it apparently.

The best defense for bottom 6 is to chip it, make the defender turn and then work them below the goal line. Maybe they are unable to do that?

How ironic that every hockey coach or analyst will say if a team is struggling to score, the best remedy is back to basics - play dump and chase, north/south hockey. The fact that Hawks are not built to play that way and can only play one style is rather sad and makes for a long season.

Theres no structure on offense which is why they can only score off the rush. They look as poorly coached as they are.

Watching Flyers/Panthers and was surprised to see Seeler is actually playing for Philly. Man he sucked.

What line is he playing on?

I’d hate him too if he was on any line other than the 4th.

Unrelated but watched a little of CAR/CBS and Boqvist just can’t skate. The bit I watched he looked awful.

Kampf is on their third line, they thought they could get some offense out him. Little did they know.

It’s unfortunate about Boqvist. You can’t get away with his size and build while being a piss poor skater. The Jones trade doesn’t look so bad if Boqvist doesn’t get better.

Although I have to question the drafting choices lately….

Do you have a source or are you referring to Leaf fans opinions?
I keep hearing the TSN analysts say the opposite - that Keefe likes his game a lot.

And for the record: I'm no fan of Kampf and his stone hands and never have been. The problem is however that Hawks current bottom 6 can't score either and as a group are quite a bit worse defensively than Kampf.
