While I agree with this somewhat , you would miss out on a lot of great food if you held to it.It is even worse than I imagined, in any case remember that you eat first with your eyes and then with your mouth, it is the first rule.

A little terrifying at first glance, something reminiscent from the ''alien'' movies, but upon closer examination,YUM!Fantastic!
I suppose a traditional pea soup would cause you to have seizure after seizure eh?I understand what you mean and your point is also valid, especially on typical dishes that I do not know or have never tried, only that it was a pita, which is a famous dish.
I’ve been a social drinker for decades and have built up a nice collection of fine liquors over the years. If you're ever offered one of these, pass! The owner,a fellow county-man,treated a round but one is more than enough. In for the long haul and was stoked he had Grolsch, paired swimmingly with his recently obtained pungent ''turkish delights''

What are you suggesting? that I go into the restaurant and sneak into the kitchen and when no one is looking ,put things in the food? Maybe you do that but I sure don't,I'm not a frikkin psychopath. The thing is, that's not just pea soup. Who knows what stuff you put in it.

I was not,,thought it was rather obvious,I would not have commercial coasters while dining at home. Do you know what restaurants put in the food? And even if I did make it,so what? what are you insinuating? I'm a culinary beast!I'm still trying to figure out if you are the cook.
Had enough? I'd never advocate to drink more, only responsibly and is not detrimental. Always felt compelled to keep my wits about and composure. Usually I stick with my friends wine from his vineyard but beer on certain occasion and maybe a little ouzo for an aperitif. Was never particularly fond of spirits straight.I’ve been a social drinker for decades and have built up a nice collection of fine liquors over the years.
But, one day last year, I decided I had had enough even if I only drank occasionally.
Since early last year, I’ve had maybe 5 beers and those were draft beers with a meal at a restaurant.
Strange as it is, I don’t miss it and don’t crave it.
I was looking to see what was out there on the pepper mill market. I own a small Trudeau brand model that grinds nicely but have to fill it often. Not a huge deal, it works.
The gold standard to me was always Peugeot mills. You can get one for $50 or so, depending on size.
Just the other day, I’ve noticed a new player pimping an aluminum mill for $200:

If you wait long enough in any industry, someone will come up with a high end product that supposedly solves an irritant. In this case, it saves you multiple turns compared to a regular mill.
What I’ve also learned is that Peugeot have amazing mills but if you grind peppercorns too close to a steaming or hot dish, the steam will eventually screw up the grinding mechanism. And that Peugeots have 6 settings do you can really set the size of your flakes.
But, do I really need to buy a Peugeot or that aluminum one? Not until my trusty little mill keeps working.
How important is a quality pepper mill in your kitchen?
Eh, prices are pretty crazy. Were just trying to make a living.Anybody else find restaurant prices have gone bunkers? I'm happy if I leave a place with a bill under 250$.
2 entrees - 2 mains - 1 dessert - 1 bottle of wine...after tax and tip...always around 300$ now..
Even for the cheaper places..2 slices of pizza from Place Tevere at Carrefour Laval with a bottle of water was 15$. If I order St-Hubert at home for me and the gf, it's 45$.
I went to Uniburger to grab my gf and my folks some trios, it cost 80$!...Like, how do low-income families surive? A family of 4 in low-income...they can't afford spending 80$ at a fast food joint.
Also getting seriously annoyed with these places raising their minimum tips on their debit machines to 18%...and wtf is up with the ones who ask for tip when it's takeout counters??? And this is when service quality is at an all time low.
I used to feel bad for restaurants during the pandemic but right now they're annoying the crap out of me, I can't help but feel they're overdoing it with their prices.

What size did you get? I hate the filling part as I always spill peppercorns somewhere although I should be using a funnel.I have a Peugeot grinder and I'm happy with it. Somewhat wish I would have spent more for the larger one so I wouldn't have to fill it as often as I do, but that's just me being lazy.
I just went to measure and I guess depending where you start from, it's about 6.5-7" tall. What size did you get? I hate the filling part as I always spill peppercorns somewhere although I should be using a funnel.
My pepper mill is even smaller than that and it’s a chore having to fill it so often. If I get a new one, I’ll make sure it’ll be the next biggest size after the one you own, based on your comments.I just went to measure and I guess depending where you start from, it's about 6.5-7" tall.
I use a funnel when filling it. My wife doesn't but she's far more careful about doing it than I would be, so she doesn't spill when filling it.
How was it?I put a pomegrenate pizza on my menu just to spite you guys
