Pomegranates in a pita!? it somehow works. Who knew? :dunno:Could be the combo but will definitely explore introducing them elsewhere besides as is or juicing them as there's always more than enough to go around.:dunce:

I didn’t do those rolls as I was missing some ingredients but am shopping for them now.
Good luck! require a bit of patience and a delicate touch. Regardless how they turn out,at least you won't have some crazy ninja ripping you apart!:phew:

There are off kilter recipes like that on a daily basis on Instagram and even weirder. Sometimes I get the feeling these influencers just put together unconventional ingredients for lack of material. Some of their stuff looks far from appetizing.

Those pomegranates will soon end up on a pizza, I’ll bet.

Never prepped rice wrappers before. I hear they can get soggy on you real fast. I’ll try dampening them with wet paper and if that’s not enough, I’ll dunk them in warm water for a bit. Who knows what works.

No doubt,a lot of overkill with some foods, does anyone really need a burger or a sandwich that is a foot high?

On a pizza? I'd try it first before making it,but could work. Maybe sprinkle some with the pineapple and ham? on a zesty pizza sauce? Off hand though, maybe is some sort of a clam mix?

The oddest thing happened to me yesterday at a small supermarket that I won’t name. While I had my back turned, a customer slammed their carriage (metal undercarriage) against my foot, which caused me to immediately crumble to the floor and writhe with pain. I was hit against the my small left toe at a high speed, it felt like getting slammed with a metal pole.

The customer who did this, did not even excuse herself and quickly headed to the cash while I was in a fog on account of my pain. I did not get a chance to get her to identify herself.

I got to a clinic today only to find out that my toe is fractured. I have a document confirming the fracture and will ask the store to inform their insurers and check their security cameras.

Moral of the story: if you’re food shopping, wear protective footwear, there are careless individuals out there who won’t look out for your well being, lol.

The thing is, I don't follow those influencers, but I have to say... A lot of people get grossed by non conventional things. I've mentionned it before (a long time ago), but I'm really big in food pairing science and sometimes I do try weird combinations out of curiosity.

Call me crazy, but I tried putting a tiny bit of mustard on a ripe banana a few months ago. It was edible and interesting. The idea came to me after stumbling upon a curry made with mustard seeds and raw bananas or plantains.

Some cheeses and chocolate/cacao, strawberries and fake-wasabi/horseradish, dried pickles to season steak, etc.

Thanks! haven't had time to explore options with pomegranates yet but hopefully I will get inspired to create a dish that I can put in the rotation at some point,if worthy.

No one has ever complained, but I understand that taking random compliments is much more rewarding than accepting a bad judgment. Is it a secret recipe or can you reveal the other ingredients?

I was on a great run training-wise. Now, I can’t walk without pain. I’m going to switch over to biking over the next month. I’m getting itchy not having worked out since it happened.

I’m also changing my shopping habits. I’m sticking to bigger box stores as much as I can. I need to feel space around me, until my fracture heals. Kind of crazy when I think of all the intense workouts I’ve been doing all summer and never had an issue. It took one trip to the supermarket to stop me, lol.

How bad of a break? I've done a few toes now and again but hairline fractures and didn't put me out of commission too too long. Had to switch things up a bit but am very diverse when it comes to fitness, just did more swimming than usual and always work out in the pool,or sea when applicable.

It is a shame though, but you just can't account for ''accidents'' . Had an Aunt in-law that was merely waiting for her cab outside when a truck blew a tire and took her out, game over.

Hope you got no plans to test the Tokyo subway during rush hour no time soon.

Just seems like you were condemning something you never tried, would that not be deemed somewhat inappropriate? you might love it,who knows?:dunno:
I've convinced many a GF's over the years to try something they initially were repelled at at first, and ended up loving it:wg:

It’s a complete fracture, doc showed me the break and it ran across. Good news is that it wasn’t displaced but to heal, had to immobilize it. Thankfully only need tape and gauze. There are worse things for sure. Sry that happened to your aunt-in-law.

Yikes! well,at least no pins or plates. Hopefully you are a quick mender and able to be creative to get some form of cardio and strength training in.

Thanks! a loss is always painfull, even when someone is ill,can see it coming but a sudden one be it an accident, self induced or murder, takes a while to sink in, a whole lot of what? what? WTF? what?

It is the second or third best cuisine in the world, it follows the canons of the Mediterranean diet, it is a pita (and unfortunately a poorly made one and with mysterious ingredients), you have not invented anything, but I understand that it may surprise those who do not know what is. Still waiting to know the ingredients anyway. And consider that I overlooked the amount used to create it.

Sorry 'jerk, but I have a hard time understanding what you're saying. So it seems you do not know what is in the pita, but you can criticize it without knowing?
Are you related to Andrew Zimmern by any chance?
Anyways,it's street-food and has tahini,walnuts,onions,olives,smoked aubergines,garlic,pomegranates,olive oil and greens,soddisfatto?

It is even worse than I imagined, in any case remember that you eat first with your eyes and then with your mouth, it is the first rule.
