24-14-4 (.619)
Enstrom has now missed exactly 1/3 of all Jets regular season games over two seasons.
It IS curious...
I too am really liking Posty's game. He has good offensive instincts, and as long as he is average in our own zone, we have a good'r.
The waiver wire has been a bit a goldmine for Chevy and the organization. Clitsome is the best of the bunch.
Facts are facts, believe what you want, as Truck pointed out the Jets winning % with Enstrom out of the line-up is well over .600 maybe closer to .640 now. Really tough to be oblivious to the truth.
Am I the only one who thought Ladd pretty much made that pass off of Peters to Buff? His shot was such that it had a chance to go in but there was a better chance that the rebound would come out in front, which it did.
It's starting to look like Clitsome's a keeper, along with Postma, Redmond, Kulda and Trouba I think both Hainsey and Stu are expendable. Heck even our little bantam sized D man might garner us a top 6 forward and I'd do that in a second, we win more without him anyway.
[*]Maybe Enstrom has been playing hurt, explaining the bad numbers. Otherwise trade for a forward.
[*]Jokenin; if Winnipeg gets near its contracts limit, or cap ceiling, buy out Jokenin. Last summer, I thought it was a good deal. Chevy made a mistake. Let's move on

So today, I was fortunate enough to get some really cheap tickets in the last minute ticket draw.
For those unfamiliar, you line up before the game, and they hand out numbers to everyone in the line. When a limited quantity of tickets are released, 90 minutes before game time, those people have the opportunity to buy the remaining tickets. I believe these tickets are usually reserved for players, VIPs, etc. The person who's number is drawn gets first chance at buying tickets, and then they go in order from that number up (so if they pick number 20, number 21 is next, and number 19 goes to the back of the line).
I was incredibly fortunate, as the number they picked first was 1 number above me, but he was the 3rd person in line today. The first two, who had been waiting the longest, had to go to the back. I know it is the rules and the way it goes, but it still seemed incredibly unfair. Mr Chipman, if you read this, I implore you to make it a first come first serve basis. This random draw thing doesn't seem to be a fair way to distribute tickets at all.
Other game notes:
Jokenin is absolutely awful. He had his best game today all season, and he was still the worst Jet out there. There has GOT to be a better option then him? And especially on the powerplay!!!
Speaking of powerplay...WHAT..THE....****!!! yes I know we scored a PP goal today, but we have got to have one of the WORST powerplays in the league. Obviously, this is nothing new, but how can we have a coach dedicated to this aspect *cough* Mr Pearn, and still be so horrificly BAD?
The crowd blew the roof off that building. I very nearly blacked out from cheering so hard on the OT goal.
Jets need to stop blowing late leads.
WTF was with the wave when we were up 1 goal? come on people, do the wave when the game is in hand.

That is kind of what you are doing as it is not a fact, but a stat.
What a stat does is give you an indication of an outcome, but you cannot state the outcome as the sole reason by ignoring all other stats or factors. You do not have enough gathered information to call it a truth or fact.
It is the same as poor/limited sample size in science or ignoring/tailoring data to prove an hypothesis.
Gather more, come back and present an unbiased stat base that covers a longer sample range.
Am I the only one who thought Ladd pretty much made that pass off of Peters to Buff? His shot was such that it had a chance to go in but there was a better chance that the rebound would come out in front, which it did.
We should bring Mark Flood back since we had a better record with him in the line-up.
Small sample size... Enstrom's played in 82 games and missed 42. .476 with, .619 without.
I'm just saying that it's really curious, because he's obviously a good player - scores a ton, runs the PP, solid Corsi against very tough competition, not a defensive gaffe machine by any stretch. So wth? Is it just a coincidence? Too small a sample? Is something else going on?
Huh? I am not saying we are better without Toby, but are you saying that the Jets record as stated above is not factual?
That is like saying it is not a fact that Ruutu scored 2 goals tonight...it is a stat that he got 2 goals, but not a fact? Are stats not empirical facts? Don't mind me...I'm just giddy we won again
I don't think he's saying that that record is not a fact so much as that, record aside, it's not a fact that we're a better team without Enstrom.
Personally, I feel like the team looked more complete as soon as Enstrom got back and that there are likely plenty of other factors (inconsistent goaltending definitely among them) that have played into those stats. If you really want to blame it all on Toby though, be my guest.
They had the kiss cam like always during one of the breaks and they found the Queen and her guard. The Queen kissed the guard on the top of his head. They ended up winning the ice cream, but got some boos because I think everyone wanted the old people to win.
