2023 draft… Danielson, ASP, Augustine, Gibson… yeah Drapes blows lol
It hasn't even been a full season and none of those guys have proven anything. Heck, Danielson would go lower in a re-draft at this point and you left out his boy Brady Cleveland. Draper does blow at drafting, look at his body of work especially outside the first round.

Danielson would not go lower. Why? I believe he is ready to play now!

Danielson's performance since getting out of the talent black hole that is Brandon might actually push him up a spot or two.

danielson has always had the talent and ability, he just played with players that could not handle or hang with him.

He is our future larkin and will make the team next year. Will probably start out like larkin did and play wing on the second or third line and slowly rotate to center, or start out at 3/4c but have a vet center on his wing to bail him out.

I think Danielson might end up being better than Larkin. IMO Larkin's defensive play is a little overrated.

Once Danielson hits a professional league and has access to coaching and training to improve his shot he's going to be a nightmare on the rush. He's already good at combining his skating, positioning, and hands to back defenders up and as his shot develops he's going to have every tool to be a killer in transition, with the defensive IQ to shut down the other team's top line as they move across the neutral zone.

I expect a lot of Datsyuk-like defensive plays from him where his backchecking either forces the puck carrier to skate into the defense or make bad dump-ins and results in turnovers. Datsyuk was excellent at coming from behind and forcing the carrier into bad spots and then stripping the puck. I could see Danielson doing that with sheer pressure on the backcheck.

I don't think Danielson is going to be a true 1c but I think he's going to be a great 2c on a contending team. He has a shot at being a better 1c than Larkin but that's a low percentage chance.

We haven't done that, either.
Ok, 8, but we have.
Against Islanders who've made up 8 points coming into TDL week, and it'll be 10 points tonight if they can win vs San Jose.
And our best players gone for the next 5-6 (idk exactly) games.

I hope we trade Petry for future considerations at 2:59pm tomorrow and that's it. LMAO!

Yeah, because Holl is so much better.

Chiarot plays better with Petry than anyone else on the team, and that alone makes Petry worth his $2.34M cap hit. (I'm not sure exactly how his salary works with the signing bonuses, retention, and reduced salary next season). He's getting paid like a 6D, and he's playing on the second pair. He plays better than pretty much every third pair D in the league, and also better than anyone paid less than him that's not on ELC.

If you think Petry is the issue, you need to watch some games (but skip last night. Everyone sucked.)

Holl is untradable.

The Isles have gained no ground on us coming into TDL week. In the last 10 games, they have 12 pts (5-3-2), and we have 12 pts (6-4-0). Them on a winning streak and us on a losing streak has changed nothing standings wise from 10 games back.

That's because you're adding games and are painting a longer and total different picture than what I said. You added the Red Wings 6 game winning streak to their recent losses which doesn't say what I said, which is coming into the TDL they've (Islanders) gained ground, around 8 points, they've definitely, 100% gained traction on the Wings.

One week ago, Wings had a bigger lead over the Islanders. IF... they win tonight they'll be 2 points behind. Hopefully they lose.

What are we even talking about anymore?

Literally in the last week or 10 days... The Red Wings lead over the Islander has gotten less. What does that have to do with a team's overall record? I literally said TDL week, so did Oddbob(Then went 10 games back).

yeah but have you considered that over the past 25 years the Wings are 1017-676-57 and the Islanders are only 866-834-56? that's a lot of ground the Islanders are losing to the Wings
