Carcillo doesn't fight anymore, but takes a ton of minor penalties, and an idiotic physical attack on a referee. I hope he's gone.

At least he was capable of playing something vaguely resembling hockey.

Anyone have a scouting report on Glass at least? I haven't seen too much of him. Can he at least skate? Faster than Boyle I hope?

Solid skater, hits everything, tough mother****er, can PK. He's a bit below Dorsett, IMO.

So he will improve team speed then? I'm guessing he's another no-hands guy though which could be ok if he can skate, hit, and cycle. I'm not expecting much based on previous polls and comments on this forum and his rather dreadful corsi numbers.

Dorsett is a much much better skater.

Someone's gotta be a Tanner Glass fan. I suppose I'll give it a shot. :D

Glass is one of the good guys. A legitimately intelligent guy and a team player. Captained his team at Dartmouth, fought hard every single game.

Any good feelings I had about the Cup run have been pretty much washed away after the draft and today's fiascos. 3 years for Tanner Freakin' Glass. I'd rather give Bickel his spot for league minimum. Not like there'd be much difference in skill level and the Tuffboyz Fan Club would still be happy.

Every time a player leaves a team where he was having difficulty fitting in is a chance for that player to find a new team where he does fit. I wouldn't write Glass off, even if I am confused about the point of trading Dorsett just to sign him.

expectations for the season shattered...
:m-cool:

horrible signing. don't want glass for 1 year yet alone 3... BUT THREE SEASONS? Seriously?

This signing alone takes my grade for the Rangers' FA signings from a "C" to a "D." The only thing worth celebrating without a doubt is Moore's contract.

The good: - He's a warrior. Will lay his body on the line for the team.
- He's only a fourth-liner.

The bad: - Below-average speed at best, which doesn't help with the style of play he aims for (hard-hitting forechecker).
- Below-average hockey IQ.
- Below-average puck skills.
- Pathetic advanced stats every year in Pittsburgh, and well-deserved at that.
- Not worth over league minimum, and not at three years.
