He's way better than dorsett, please learn about the players before you cry.

* Ranked 2nd among team forwards w/57 BkS.
* Established a franchise record w/a career-high 13 hits @ DAL Jan. 25.
Dorsett- - Ranks fifth on the team in hits (52) in the playoffs
- Ranked 10th in the NHL in penalty minutes (128) in the regular season

Yeah he missed the part where Dorsett was part of the best 4th line in hockey while Glass, "much better than Dorsett", was constantly getting benched in the playoffs.

Edit: Excuse me, "Way better".

Could be worse. Could have signed Engelland to that awful contract the Flames just gave him ($2.9 x 3 yrs). Losing it over the signing of a likely 4th liner/healthy scratch seems a little absurd to me. This team is still a ckntender.

Have you watched his "hits"? I've watched a ton of Pittsburgh games. He isn't seperating players from the puck nor have any forechecking ability. His hits are well after the play, and not punitive in nature (extremely light).

With the above in mind, it also explains why he is in the bottom 10 of all players in the NHL for CORSI possession stats.

Sigh, he became part of the line when Carcillo was suspended.

LMFAO.

He got 13 hits because he never has the ****ing puck on his stick.

Please. This is a bad post and Glass is a bad hockey player.

Oh please forgive me so, i forgot he's so amazing, but WAIT they're 4th liners and glass is still better than Dorsett who can't hit at all either

Only this board will go this crazy over a ****ing 4th liner....

They gave three years and a cap hit too big to bury in the minors to an absolutely putrid hockey player. The fourth line was a key to the team last year. Any line with Glass on it is going to suck.

Not going nuts at all. If you're ( I don't mean you) going to act completely arrogant about a subject at least know what you're talking about. Is it that difficult?

Glass is a terrible hockey player. I don't like the signing all that much, all I can do is state that as such.

I will trade Dorsett for Glass, #3 and $150k any day of the week, twice on Tuesday, July 1. We are better off than had we kept Dorsett. Good asset management there.

But that's not what happened. They made a good trade by dealing Dorsett for a third then almost immediately pissed away the cap space they saved on Glass. Why not sign a Malhotra for 850K? Why not wait for Ryan Carter and see what he wants?

I'm not into the "Glass is tough and can punch people really hard!" bit. Give me someone who can play, especially when they'll come cheaper than this.

You can't tie the two moves together like that. There was no need to bring in another face puncher just because they dealt Dorsett. Just because Sather has a slavish obsession with old time hockey does not make this deal in any way necessary. And there is never a reason to give a goon three years. Ever. You can always pick up one of these guys if you're delusional enough to think you need one.
