Confirmed with Link: Tanner Glass signs with Rangers for 3 years @ 1.45 million/season

Steve Bernier just re-upped for $600k. He's a very boring hockey player, but he is better than Tanner Glass at everything but fighting.

I don't think Glass is the WORST NHL player. He is a very good PKer and he's a very hard hitter.

But jesus christ. Should've just kept Dorsett. And 3 years? **** me.

Maybe. The guy got benched for two series in the playoffs this year. I don't understand how he got 3 years and $1.5 M per. What in the world.

I have the feeling Jim Schoenfeld is allowed to make 1 signing/yr, and Brashear, Boogard, Rupp, and now Glass were his choices.

Losing Boyle is going to hurt more than anyone on this Board and anybody in the front office realizes. 1.5 for 3 yrs for Glass and you could't resign Boyle for 4 years 2.5 million?

No because I'm not comfortable paying Boyle 2.5 million.
 
Annual bad signing tradition continues. This guy sucks.

Not an effective player. Good skater and hitter, but that's it. No faceoffs, not a RH shot, no hands, no offense, and a fringe 4th liner at 1.45 and term. Not a good signing at all.

Teams need whipping boys and this guy will be run out of town before the contract expires.
 
This guy sucks by whatever evaluation tools you want to use. He sucks by traditional metrics. He sucks by advanced metrics. His term and cap hit can't be disappeared by sending him to Hartford. Good job bringing in extra face punching again Glen. Now go retire you stupid old ****.

Well if he can skate and hit that's basically a 4th liner. I don't like the signing either but not shocked it's Sather
