Good night in the lottery race for the Rangers.

All of the teams around them either won or got a loser's point. Edmonton is 6 points ahead. Vancouver, 5. Big Win for Chicago bascially puts them out of reach. Detroit is on a 3 game winning streak and suddenly is only 3 points behind the Rangers.

And the shocker of the night ... Buffalo finally gets a point! Their 3rd point over the last 10 GAMES. The Rangers have a game in hand on them and the way the Sabres are going theres a good chance they'll be in a higher spot than the Rangers when its all done. Sickening.

However, the Rangers are now in the 5th spot.

Rolled the dice on Tankathon 10x.

7,3,7,6,7,1,6,7,6,2.

Top 3 pick 3 of out 10x. I'd honestly just sign up for #5, where they are right now. Kinda of ridiculous there's a very good chance the Rangers pick 6 or 7 and not where they finish. But thats the percentages. Oh well.

Important to remember there is little correlation of success at the #5 spot vs #7 spot, yah? And who's to say maybe it's the #7 spot that wins that Top 3 spot, yah?

And speaking of spots, #5 has a lot of lottery history luck. Maybe it's time for spot 6 or 7 to smack one out.

And you know how far that streak made them fall in the standings? Not even one spot. Ottawa, Tampa, San Jose, Hartford, Florida, Anaheim and Edmonton, probably the worst bottom 7 of all the 1990 drafts were so bad our epic tank didn't make a dent.
