What’s the concern level for Ohgren right now? Ideally, he would be developing in the AHL on the top line/PP/PK. Playing 11 minutes a night at the NHL level isn’t great for his development IMO. Either need to move him up the lineup or send him down to Iowa.

Playing with Gaudreau and Johansson on 2nd line doesnt really do much for him though either. Kind of a no win situation with all injuries, you dont want to send him down at this point either due to the roster we are icing

Mildly concerned. Have suspicions that he just isn't going to be vg, unless he goes through a Rossi like metamorphisis and comes back on fire next fall. right now he looks meh, but he is still yoiung, and trying to figure out how to make his mark in the league.
I don't see any major weakness in his game, such as skating, strength, or puck handling, and his shot is good when he uses it.

Don't mind ohgren getting some nhl games right now but needs a little more time. Maybe next year or the year after he forces his way onto the team.

He’s got brick hands. I’d say that is a clear weakness. Thats not to say he won’t be a player, but he definitely lacks in the puck handling department IMO

Offensively speaking, he's roughly on the JEE development path. I doubt he'll ever be as good defensively, but most aren't. If he finds a disruptive game within him, he'll get plenty of NHL time. For the time being, I'm not concerned about his development or usage.

Also, in the game yesterday Stenlund was clowning the Wild players in the faceoff dot as usual with 64%.
But one other player was even better. Guess who?
Freddy G, who won 14 out of his 20 faceoffs. 70%!

He wouldn't even sniff the top line on most teams. He's damn lucky to be where he is alongside Rossi and Boldy.

It's funny how Rossi is doing fine without Kap, but Zucc is lost.

I remember some saying "if this has to happen, what could we get for him?", some saying "they had better not trade him", and often those two groups of people were the same people. I don't remember anyone actually saying they wanted to trade Rossi, but I may be wrong because memory is a shifty thing. If so, please point me to it.

20% concern.

I've always said he's a meat and potatoes type so he's going to excel by playing the simple game, playing the forechecking and boards play - then compliment that with the "shoot from anywhere" mentality. So I'll think he'll learn that playing 2nd/3rd line NHL minutes. He'll learn from JEE and Foligno, get stronger and faster over the offseasons, and get more experience and confidence. He seems like a guy who's very effected by his confidence, more than others. If he's playing 4th line minutes, send him down.

But I like where is at, he JUST turned 21 this January. Keep him playing and he's going to learn.

Let’s just get on with the rebuild. Kap is leaving , this team is missing the playoffs and whatever can go wrong will go wrong. Bill Guerin prioritized plugs and now you get to watch them ply their trade.

It has been a good ride so far this season but without Kap & Ek, they're running out of gas. Especially when Gus is not playing Vazina-esque.

Rossi & Boldy still kinda producing but lets be honest: The Wild are sending half a AHL squad out there every night and thats because of the dead cap & the signings of players to nmc. Besides I'm not sure if players like Trenin or Hartman earning their paycheck at the moment MaJo doesn't belong to any top 6 with his performances neither.

I wonder if Kap is going to sign a new contract with the wild. ATM I highly doubt it. I also doubt that they're going to sign Rossi.

as i've said before billy would not even let russo know anything which tells me he was keeping everything secret. why? because it would make billy look bad if he told the truth. why can't you understand that?

I’m not asking you to provide Guerin’s plan. I’m asking for you to show a path where it was at least possible to keep Fiala at an $8M cap hit. So far, nothing.
