So rangers have 2 games remaining. Columbus and pittsburgh. Columbus can clinch a playoff spot with a win. Don't see Rangers winning. Then there is Pittsburgh. With a win they can make sure they don't get to face caps in the first round.

I hope Rangers loses these 2. Then the big one is Buffalo-Detroit game. If that game goes to OT Rangers climb 2 spots in draft order! To number 4! There would be better changes to land Kakko or Hughes! This is very possible scenario.

So please Rags lose last 2 games and Buffalo-Detroit go to OT!

If Rangers lose in regulation tomorrow no matter what we end up 5th, Sabres and Wings play each other tomorrow which is perfect

Well the good news is the most likely scenario is that extra point we earned tonight won't end up making a difference. We're around 70% to end up 5th from the bottom.

It's never meaningless to rub Crosby's face into the boards - some teams you never want to lose to. Like the Knicks, I've wanted them to tank hard all season but man was it sweet to embarrass the Lakers/Lebron twice
 
Do we know the format that they're doing the lottery show in this year?

I hate the 'revealing the envelopes' thing that they've done every other year. I assume it's due to some liability issue with whatever corporation they use for the drawing, but I really wish that they just showed the actually picking of the numbers.

False. If we didn't get that point and lose tonight, they finish with 75 points. Buffalo and Detroit go to overtime and one finishes with 76, the other with 75. If the first tiebreaker is ROW, we would be 4th from the bottom.

Disclaimer: I could be completely wrong about this

Does the Rangers losing two games in regulation and BUF/DET going to OT sound like the most likely scenario?
