Matthews already played against Danault in the playoffs as well, it didn't go any better

He had 35 shots in 7 games and price went beast mode for 3 rounds.

Danault played well. But to pretend that series wasn’t price realizing this was his last chance is just silly

Nope. The Leafs decided the game by allowing more goals than Tampa. Even with a key injury to a Tampa star.
Yup. Foote holding Kampf along the boards directly gave Paul an open lane to freely leave his zone and then evidently score. Goal should have been called back and Foote receive a penalty.

Your superstars are the refs.

I have never witnessed the Leafs ever having the refs assist in their games
Setting a pick and roll is a basketball play, but even in basketball that would have been an illegal pick since the guy setting the pick didn't get set. The leafs tried to run an illegal play, and it looked like they even drew it up like that on the bench. They got called for it before the puck ever went in the net because it was so obviously an illegal pick.

Yes there was. Phantom high stick in game 6 that led to a 5 on 3 and Tampa tying the game.
Missed holding call on Kampf that led to Paul getting the first goal in game 7.

The biggest interference in the whole series
Was point skating from center spinning gio and scoring

The muzzin trying to check paul
When Killorn stole his stick was hilarious.

It was a very even series. Toronto was every bit as good as Tampa. Probably outplayed them. Tampa made 3 clear infractions on their last 3 goals. And faked a high stick.

To pretend they weren’t even is dumb. To pretend Toronto would have won if any of those calls were made… it’s impossible to know.

Could have went either way. It was a good series. Who knows. Maybe Tampa is too tired. They did not look like the “better” team. Like they did the last 2 years. Maybe Kuch is hurt. Point looks in trouble. They could be out of steam.

But If this is vasi coming back. Look out.

Both high sticks happened. You still had all of OT your team failed stop blaming the refs for your teams failures. I can point out a lot of shit the leafs got away with but I don’t I blamed my team for playing poorly.

I just like spinning your narrative completely around.
You’ve just been brainwashed by the Toronto media into believing the refs are out to get you. There were bad calls both ways. Just like every series. One team took advantage of their breaks and the other didn’t. Welcome to sports!

I bet he's real upset with himself this morning
They showed a stat on the Canadian broadcast last night of your big 4 forwards production in game 7’s and it was like 2 points total between point, palat, stamkos and kucherov (someone correct me if I’m wrong there). Thought that was kinda interesting.

Good luck the rest of the way

You guys don’t even look at the bad calls that go against Tampa and every other team.
When you’re bottom 5 in powerplays every year for 5 straight years as a very good possession team, there’s something up. Especially since their peers in play style (Colorado, Carolina etc) are all near the top.

I kinda think refs go out of their way as to not look biased to Toronto to be honest. That trip on Nylander on the powerplay that went uncalled was as textbook of a trip as you can get.

I’m sure that you believe that. Just like a lot of fans of other fanbases believe the refs are against their team.

I will happily eat crow when these so called "draft picks" have impact on the NHL games. Until then it is crystal ball hearsay and nothing else.
Sandin
Durzi
Robeetson
Abruzze
Amirov
Hirvonen
Niemla
Knies

All looking like great picks and only 2 of them are first rounders.

Weird stat to bring up though, considering how many of those games we've actually won.

Good luck to you all, as well. Unfortunate that we faced each other in round 1.

No, I directly showed you proof of a missed call that affected the game and so far you are completely ignoring it.

And last I checked Leafs media isn't really talking about the refs. As I said before, if anything the leaf fanbase mostly puts blame on the team itself more so than anything else.

I'm just pointing out the fact that the refs absolutely did have a major affect on the series and they were more lenient with Tampa.

It was either pre game or first period and they were basically saying their production was similar. Wasn’t worded as a dig at Tampa

I’m sure that you believe that. Just like a lot of fans of other fanbases believe the refs are against their team.
If you can’t see that’s at a minimum, very odd, you have a hard time leaving your bias aside.

I don’t think it’s a purposeful thing at all either. Just the refs trying not to be front page news

Its not an illegal pick.

This isn’t the NBA.
That was a super weak play.

Read the nhl rules. I posted it earlier

Yes, refs miss calls, every game, against all teams.
And yes, there were blatant calls that did decide the game. Sorry if you don't like hearing that.

Like Foote holding Kampf along the boards could have been called and then Paul's goal would not have happened.

Get over it man, the Leafs had plenty of chances to finish the Bolts and didn't. You want to beat the champ, you have to knock out the champ, not count on the refs. The TML earned my respect, next year knock us the f*** out if you get the chance.

Oh, didn't know that. I didn't see it, but I hope they provided a bit of context. Game 7's are always tight, low scoring affairs.

Not gonna lie, I feel for the Leafs fans. This wasn’t a choke, simply a hard fought series that put Tampa on a test (last year only Islanders did that really.) The fact that it was first round is just bad luck, Atlantic is just stacked this year. No shame in losing this one.

Oh well, the series against Panthers is gonna be fire!
Up 3-2 in the Series. Up 3-2 in G6. Lose at home in G7.

Maybe not a stereotypical choke, but not good. Not good at all.

Like I said every fan base thinks the refs are out to get them.
It doesn’t make it any more true than the other conspiracy theories that many believe in.
A more plausible explanation is that the Leafs need to play more disciplined in the playoffs. I thought as the series went on the players showed more maturity and played much more disciplined.
