Tampa defeats Toronto 4 games to 3

I think when 95% of fans with no rooting interest say it's a pick, and all these people saying it's not are Leafs fans, there is no leg to stand on. He's in the middle of the play, it allows Tavares free into the slot, and he basically gets checked. 200% interference. Sorry you creamed your jeans after the whistle blew it dead, but there's not much of an argument that the ay ISN'T a pick. A pretty blatant and highly visible one at that.
Since that's called, then you also have to call Foote when he was holding Kampf along the boards that directly led Paul to scoring his goal (which now shouldn't count).

He stops. It’s not like on the point goal in ot in 6 when the player literally skated into gio and knocked him over

Watch that replay. Was that a pick?

The literally pulling the stick out of muzzin hand on the winner was the best

You can't skate directly, in a direction against the flow of play, into the path of a defender following the puck carrier, and then stop at the last second so that he runs into you. This is like a kid doing the "i'm not hitting you, I'm punching air and you got in the way" routine.

As a fan of neither team, I can't decide if I'm amused or just completely bewildered. This was so blatant it could be shown in a rulebook video example of what an illegal pick play looks like.

I have a hell of a lot more respect for the Leafs now than before the series. They could've folded like a cheap tent in games 5 and 6 but they battled back both times. Matthews and Marner were super scary throughout the series and I found myself clenching my butthole every time they had the puck in our zone. Campbell was a bit of a hit and miss like Vasy but he made some timely saves. The teams also played a very fair series without unneccessary dirty crap.

I could've easily seen myself rooting for the Leafs if they advanced which I didn't think I could do before the series. To all the levelheaded Leafs fans, I hope your team finally gets past their first round demons next year (provided we don't meet again). To all the Leafs fans whining continuosly about the refs and the conspiracy against you and whatnot, I hope your wait for next season is agonizigly long.

Toronto has nothing to be ashamed of. They played great. I honestly thought they were the better team for a lot of that series. It just came down to a few bounces. I really thought right till the end that they’d pull it off.

Same responses from you guys every year. point in debating I just laugh at how soft and pathetic the team is and how they lose
Keep defending soft scared teams nobody cares
Again. Watch the sport or dont. Dont speak on something you know nothing about.

You think Campbell was the issue ?

He was obviously very good and is also a UFA. So TOR is sitting with Mrazek, who is the very definition of overpaid and a mediocre goaltender, and a bunch of rookies and nobodies in net going into next season.

So I reiterate: Does TOR not need a starting goalie for the 2022/23 NHL season?

Not all Leafs are soft. I was expecting Matthews and Marner to be, and they weren’t.

Nylander is hilariously a joke. That’s the type of guy that destroys a team in the playoffs. That’s the softness we are talking about

The Bolts were easily the more physical team and clearly they don’t shy away from contact

The Bolts also block shots. Even their superstars with 2 Cups are sacrificing to block a shot

Can you ever see Nylander do something like that?

Lost in all of the excuses the day after, Tampa lost Brayden Point early in yesterday’s game. A playoff warrior, shutdown defender and the game 6 overtime hero. Instead of making excuses the team sucked it up and played a textbook perfect third period.
That’s what Cup Champion type teams do.
Yea but he'll be back yesterday man. He was just pretending to try to get a call

Coach sits Liljegren for the rest of the series after Game 2 because of "inexperience" and "mistakes", then Brodie gets completely cakewalked right in front of the net on the series winning goal in Game 7.

They are legit complaints. Rules are rules, right?
And besides, Leafs fans are one of the most self blaming fanbase in the league.

Refs miss calls, every game, against both teams. Complain for a few minutes and then move on like everyone else. Unless there was a blatant call that decided the game, move on before you give yourself an ulcer.

Oilers fans are gloating over the Matthews exit and praising the 2-point performance by McDavid vs weak LAK.

Hilarious !
2 points and the win…. Lol how don’t you get this

Tampa would prob lose a 7 game series to the kings this year tbh, tampa looked pretty bad this year

They didn’t let the injuries or bad reffing slow them down. Champion shit.
