Imagine if they didn't count this cause of Foote holding Kampf along the boards. Interference!

This is the big takeaway and focus that Toronto has to takeaway from this series.

14.7% PP, 78.8% PK.

You can't win any series with sub-par PP% and an abysmal PK. If anything Toronto needs to a change in special teams coaching, whomever is in charge of those two, they need to go.
Refs need to call a fair game.

So happy for you that you got to celebrate winning a round in the playoffs. I'm sure you look at your playoffs series win banners with pride and awe.

You cheer for a team that made "Norris Division Champion" rings in 1993. They then held a public rally at City Hall for the team. They then issued a commemorative video called "The Passion Returns" that chronicled the teams playoff run.

Notice how the Tampa fans have been respectful and acknowledge the effort the Leafs played with. These random Sens/Habs/Jets fans are sad, trying so hard to bring us down but we know we have a great core.

The leafs shopping list before next season should be

New 2nd line LW
New 4th line C
New 4th line RW
Top 4-Dman
Competent back up goalie

If these positions all aren't addressed this summer, Shanahan and Dubas should both be gone before pre-season. I wouldn't pull the trigger on them after such a hard fought series, but a re-tool is absolutely crucial.

"Choker ! Trade him !"
Notice how some leaf fans continue to complain about refs and pulling some stat sheet numbers to give no credit to Tampa about winning?

I'll always enjoy leafs losing due to how loud and obnoxious fans the have. So many here with no class at all, like f*** you saying Point is just faking it.

The actual team played great and a massive difference to previous years so kudos to them. Keefe is a shit coach and they're stuck with Tavares anchor.

Still whining about the refs?

Please go back to your own board with that crap.

Or one of the Leafs fans can make a youtube video that loops the same tired posts over and over...make a thread for it. Seriously, give it a rest already. Please.

ANd let me take this opportunity to tell anyone that made fun of our anthem singer...shameful. Not only did she serve our country, she has MS and almost died from Covid last year. She is loved by everyone in Tampa. Have a modicum of respect or not. Karma has spoken, for sure, to you individuals.

Thing is in October when the season starts again The wetting will Begin again
the parade will be planned
they need to find a defenseman and a goalie but the problem is they can't afford to pay anybody because they've got the big money boys

I won't get into arguing the semantics of "completely stops and who ran into who" but even if he did, he makes a clear move with his upper body to initiate and interfere with a player without the puck. He wasn't holding his space. He skated right into the path of Cirelli. It was blatantly obvious, a major factor in Tavares scoring and not surprising they called a penalty.

Honestly had he not turned and hockey stopped right in front of Cirelli it might have been less obvious that his sole purpose was to interfere.

He stops. It’s not like on the point goal in ot in 6 when the player literally skated into gio and knocked him over

Watch that replay. Was that a pick?

The literally pulling the stick out of muzzin hand on the winner was the best

Yea, I'm sure Kampf would have teleported back and got to Paul.
We don't know. But I would think so.
The puck was right along the boards when Foote was holding Kampf. Last I checked, holding is a penalty.

And with Foote holding Kampf it directly gave an opening lane for Paul to freely escape his zone into the Leafs.

Refs effect outcomes.
They gave the benefit of the whistle to the Bolts both overall in general and specifically in crucial elimination game scenarios.
It is what it is.
Ignoring it doesn't mean it's not true.
Yep - last year our Bolts came dangerously close to getting blown up about our LTIR scheme, which was the key to our winning the Cup. So, this season, we needed to do something different. As the regular season came to a successful close, JB decided that the ton of left over LTIR money would be used to support the refs' favorite charities. So far, it's been a very cost effective strategy. Hmm, I've heard numerous times that the Leafs are the wealthiest NHL team.

Nothing is more laughable and insane than Toronto constantly losing with a soft lineup. Of course they add nothing trade deadline and scratch the only grit Simmons and Clifford.
What a joke glad they keep losing

Did you watch a second of the series? This whole "soft" crap is not the reason they lost. Watch the sport.

I think when 95% of fans with no rooting interest say it's a pick, and all these people saying it's not are Leafs fans, there is no leg to stand on. He's in the middle of the play, it allows Tavares free into the slot, and he basically gets checked. 200% interference. Sorry you creamed your jeans after the whistle blew it dead, but there's not much of an argument that the ay ISN'T a pick. A pretty blatant and highly visible one at that.

What about the game 6 winner? Is that a pick? Why do I think you won’t watch.
