Honestly that was my thought, but the ramifications of that are drastic. You're not taking the captaincy away from him and keeping him a Cane, a la Lecavalier. And if Eric's gone, then Jordan's gone.

I'm not saying it's not the right move. It might be. I'm just saying that taking away the "C" from Eric is a LOT bigger than just giving it to Faulk.
