Decent deal for Sudbury, I think Kingston will be very happy with Chromiak
Agree.
I didn’t think Kingston could pass up the brother of a good former Frontenac that plays the position of greatest need and fits the core age.

HAHA! All these people saying Wolves weren't going to get anything for Chromiak. Well done Papineau. Chromiak is a good player. Good luck to him
I’m surprised you guys didn’t get a player! Makes sense though because kingston probably will go for it this year and next. 2027 the team probably won’t be too bad it’s very early to project but I’d assume they’ll be good. I think kingston will be good the next 2 years here. Probably stink it up 3 years from now and then 4 years from now be a pretty good team. If I were to guess I’d say that second will be a mid round pick for you guys which is great.

I'd be a bit surprise if that pick was still in the wolves possession after the deadline, if we're being honest.

Yeah true lol I expect Sudbury isn’t done yet. If they want to compete with London they need to get some more depth at forward probably

If London wants a chance to compete with Sudbury or NB or whatever team represents the east, they certainly need to add at forward

Good deal for both teams and Paps is back in everyone’s good books, question is for how long.

Saginaw I think is the big one that’ll be making lots of moves. I’d expect them to add to d and f and g and go all out with the memorial cup. A divinctiis and Nelson trade would make perfect sense for them.

In fact some deals are most likely being worked on already and the Wolves needed to position themselves for the cost on these big names come deadline. Job well done!!!

WJ
That’s the case more often than not. GM’s are likely burning up phone lines regularly as the season progresses.

Haven't watched much since Dvorsky came over, but do Musty and Goyette typically stay out much longer than Dalibor? He seems to take a normal shift, and change appropriately, while Musty/Goyette seem to loaf around for another 30-45 seconds before finally heading off.

Defence needs help. Too many weak/bone headed plays.

Oh yes. Dalibor knows how to take a shift and go, the other 2 don’t ever get off.

Need more out of Vondras... Soft goal. Wolves are not looking ready to play at all I find.
I agree. Took the Wolves awhile to get going in the 1st. NB has their backup in and they're on the road. Would like to see more intensity right from puck drop, especially considering these two teams played each other on Sunday.

(additional) 1st period thoughts..

Walton needs to use his size, especially on the PP. He shouldn't be drifting around the perimeter he should be net front or somewhere where he can use his frame to more effect. That's what NHL teams are going to want to see out of him. A decent piece of skill by him to receive skate to stick in the NZ to get the puck deep while all the Wolves were gassed.

Villeneuve a couple of good faceoff wins, one on the PK in the DZ. Impressed by his backcheck speed, he closes distances quickly and is able to use bursts of speed numerous times per shift. His last shift of the 1st was a good example of this. Also had a strong zone entry after a hard NZ skate

Dvorsky with a lucky bounce after circling behind the net and just kind of throwing it towards the cage. Musty doesn't look too worse for wear, he's in on the forecheck and even took a hit to make a play, too bad it was a no-look pass that didn't get to a Wolf. Wasn't a fan of the weak zone entry attempt by 27 w 2 linemates beside him, can't lose possession to a weak pokecheck there.

Taylor had a nice shift about 3/4 of the way through the 3rd. Good forecheck, long reach for his age, closing speed is good and got a shot on net.

Wolves need to shoot more and play with some more intensity. You've got a team that beat you on Sunday playing in your barn.

2nd period thoughts..

Much better start to the period for the Wolves and a more complete period. Outshot NB 17-6 that period. Gotta come out with the same intensity to start the 3rd.

Some more good examples of speed and reach on the forecheck that period from Villeneuve. Good to see him and Walton out there on the 4 on 4. Very impressed with 89 in the faceoff circle tonight (6/9) including 3 wins in one shift in the OZ. Good hard accuracte pass through the NZ to hit Walton in stride. Big hit in the last 10 seconds of the penalty in the DZ. Wasn't a fan of the penalty but it happens.

Walton had a more impactful period. Used his size and reach to get a good scoring chance as well in board battles. He attempted a big NZ hit. 4 on 4 shift with Villenueve. Good net front presence seconds before his goal and drifted to the right place to rifle home the lucky bounce off the end boards. I also like the strength attempted after he scored, although the defender shut it down it's good to see the attempt.

Protz nothing flashy but I like his game. Solid and composed back there, plays bigger than he is.

Oh my what a goal by Delic! He put Christopolous on a poster.

Another nice period from Caden Taylor including an assist.

Decent spurts of creativity by the top guys but they need to get some more motion the PP, they look like statues at times.
