Watching the coaching staff behind the bench last night was laughable. We lost the first period 2-0 because the first line had three shifts.

They are so out of touch they don’t even know our first line is the best in the O and can play anybody. All they cared about the whole game was matching Arnsby lolllllllll

Not going anywhere in the playoffs with these coaches…
3 shifts but 2 guys on for 2 minutes shifts. :)

12th in SAV%, literally the deifnition of average.
not really half of the goalies have played less games than 11 games he has. GAA top 5 plus a shutout, he is not hurting us at all, like I said presently better stats than DiVencentus, Gaudreau, Schenkel. For sure there is always room for improvement, but he has held his own.

One 2:00 one 13 sec one 46 seconds. Musty played the whole 2 min on 3 Powerplays and I think it should be that way since they don’t play on the pk. Not a coach said a simple comment about it on the bench.

I feel they get more than enough ice time each game, use quite often. Only time they don't see alot of ice when Wolves get into penalty troubles. I will keep an eye more closely next game, but I think the first line is lean upon alot.

While I agree about the coaches, the first line is the most talented in the league but not the best. They overhandle the puck and don't shoot nearly enough, looking for the perfect play and two of them take a lot longer 5 on 5 shifts than they need to. Put one of them on another line and tell that person they are needed to score and it will work much better. Reunite them for the PP if they are producing but otherwise split them up

I agree with you, they are the best line (potentially) but 3 shifts at 2.5 mins/per is why they aren’t getting out as often..they gotta learn .45second shifts for team success. Maybe 3 shifts are the coaches making them accountable

I invite you to watch the first period my friend. Watch Coughlan’s multiple shifts impact on the first line before saying they have 2.5 min shifts. You are giving me BS

Bottom line there is too much dependence on one line. They are not a contending team at this point. Too many turnovers at the high in the offensive zone and limited scoring opportunities created off the cycle. Cutting to Center of the ice on the attack instead of going wide limits time and space for your line mates in the offensive zone. They need major work in structure.

Ok, the 2.5 minute shifts might be a bit of a stretch but they are twice as long as they should be. Being the go to players, they will get their ice, I’d just like to see them play a TEAM game like bottom 9 forwards…

They are. Coughlan played two 90 sec shifts as a 4th liner its a coach problem. Stop blaming them for 1 or 2 shifts in the game. Star players are all like this. Nothing worse than Connor Bedard or McDavid ot Kovalev in the show. They wanna make a difference every shift. Right now their ice time is wrong period.

Coughlan also draws 2-3 penalties a game and is second on the team in +/- so that could be a reason the coach wants him out there. Now if our PP could capitalize on those chances we would be a lot better spot. Going 6/58 won't get us anywhere.

I know he’s so good he must have a special permission to stay longer than his 4th line mates !!
That's not what i'm saying at all, and I believe you know that. I was pointing out that Coughlan is not a detriment to the team when he is on the ice as you're implying. Should Coughlan be out for 90-second shifts? No. but at this point,13 games into the season, no line should be out that long. As another user mentioned, the Wolves need to learn to win as a team which includes the bottom 6 lines. They cannot be burning out their top 6 so early in the season. As the season progresses, and we get into crunch time, sure shorten the bench and let the big dogs out more often.

Wolves need to take Niagara seriously tonight and put together a big game from the drop of the puck. Team really needs to show the urgency to play a full 60 minutes.

Yep, this feels like the type of game where we don't take them serious enough and lay a dud. There's no easy games in this league. Need a full team effort tonight, and the results will follow. Levin and Assadourian will be hungry against the Wolves

I thought the same thing against Flint and the Wolves failed to show up consistently for that one. Hopefully Ken can wake up from his afternoon nap in time to get the team ready to go.

Missed the first period but man this game shouldn’t be close. And yet somehow it’s 1-1

This is nonsense. What the heck am I watching

Musty- head coach
Goyette- assistant coach

I've been back and forth on McKenzie but he has no control of his players. Players not playing the right way. You have the 1st line thinking their the Harlem Globetrotters. You got musty tapping his stick in frustration cause he didn't get a pass. Brutal.

McKenzie too easy of a hire and cost effective. Very disappointed in RP regarding this. Specially knowing what a big year this is.

Anybody lose audio on Eastlink? Was watching OHL7 on iptv. Other games audio working.

I'd actually like to see Delic with Dvorksy for a few shifts. Need to spread out that 1st line. The rest can barely get anything going.

Would really love to see them go back to Goyette - Delic - Konyen. Goyette's ability to miss empty nets on the line with Musty and Dvorsky is pretty impressive at this point. Thought maybe when he skated directly into defenders and got rocked twice it would put some sense into him, but wrong again.

Vandenburg played awesome for Niagara. Shot count would have been twice as high if the wolves werent trying for a highlight goal virtually all night. Got pretty rough with lots of thunderous hits. My kind of game. Nice to see DeAngelis answer the call for the head hit to Delic. Game could have gone either way even though the wolves dominated in the second and third. Dare I say we were lucky to get the win.
