Did #3 Touré injury a hand or something during the fight with Arnsby last Wednesday? Just curious since he challenged all Battalion players but backed down when Zito was ready and willing on Friday after Touré delivered a cheap shot on our #12.
cheap shot like Lukin? Toure is at his max in fighting will get a suspension if get's a next one. Don't worry yourself about it.
Zito is not Arnsby, good thing he didn’t

I think toure knows better

Not all worried. I believe the word was curious, especially after the Wednesday antics is all. Good luck the rest of the way.
Sorry that Lukin has mind-f$&@ed your entire organization.

Oh yeah I guess the same can be said about Toure to the North Bay organization, you had to come on our board :) remember that.

Not arguing about the defensive shortcomings but as mentioned that’s why you need stellar goaltending. Great goaltending makes up for a lot of mistakes. The last line of defence. Not sure you watched the game but the goal the Soo scored right after the Wolves went up by two is a prime example of a soft goal through the wickets that could have lost the game. Even the goal after the player went in and threw it over Ranger‘s shoulder while he was almost crouched inside the net. No, defensive issues aside, I still think finding consistent, stellar goaltending is job 1. Without a foundation you’re sunk.

If you have a defenseman who can actually perform the job description, you would need average to above average goaltending. There might be 5 stellar goaltenders in the league and we aren't getting any of them this year. With goalies worried less about having to bail out a porous defence making ridiculous reads and giveaways and more focus on making routine saves (goals you mentioned should have been routine stops) you’ll see better goaltending.

Toure, for once, saw that the ridiculous penalty he was getting would be offset due to Zito’s challenge. He might have fought him otherwise as Zito would have got the instigator and that fight wouldn’t have counted towards Toure’s total

not sure on that, how I interpreted the rule its anything over 3 fights, is automatic 2 game suspension. Doesn't matter if he was instigated or not.

It matters. The fight does not count towards your total if you are instigated upon. The idea is that if you were instigated against, you had zero choice but to fight. That’s why instigated upon is marked on the OHL online scoresheet.

ok I tried to look up the 3 fight rule couldn't find much on it when being instigated on but makes sense. However taking a risk when at your max, depending how referee is going to call it.

Keep it movin son...

Check the Otters board. Looks like they paid a king’s ransom (5 picks) for Fimis. Teams played last night. Real cheap shot by Lavoie with a blindside hit late in the third while Niagara was up by two. Then the assclown taunts the crowd. Apparently the kid had surgery and is out for the season.

Really nor screwed with the organization .He just gets away with dirty hits.He knocked Kosta Manikis out of the season and his OA year ,last year.

If Wolves can get on a little roll they could quickly be in the hunt for the 5th seed in the Conference. Big weekend coming up with some pivotal games and then the trade deadline

We will see what happens in the next week. It sure seems the east is shaping into a four team conference. A couple of subtle moves by the wolves along with Kingston & Missasauga moving roster players could have the wolves finishing 5th for sure.

Be nice to do a similar trade deal like Donato and Dahm one back in the day, maybe not at the same level but this kind of move would be the right way to go I think.

Bang on. OA goalie Beech wasn't working out. Brought in Dahm to upgrade the goaltending, and moving out Beech opened up an OA spot to bring in Donati. Wolves should be looking at Zhigalov and then finding another OA

That roster was loaded on D and desperately needed a goal scorer; a great deadline by Foligno. The equivalent now would be something like DelMastro & Zhigalov?

That team had significantly more talent then this one. Wolves also don't have the draft picks to be buyers. I expect they'll have a fairly quiet deadline, shipping out a few 19 year olds possibly.

I expect them to add an import left off a team because they have too many at the deadline. Maybe Puelleur is waived from the Pete’s when they go after Grusnikov from Hamilton!
