“@KatieStrangESPN: #NYR #MTL Desharnais on Prust hit: "Prusty wanted to set the tone and I thought it was a pretty good hit"â€

Miller is a better skater, and has better hands than Stepan. He will bring much more speed to that position than Stepan could ever.

He is the best option we have right now.

Well he may just have the chance to prove himself, it's gonna be Miller Time - if he doesn't want to be doing a lot of sight seeing in Hartford again next year he's going to want to really show something because this would be his big opportunity

Rangers would be stupid to announce timetable for return before Prust announcement. Let NHL assume the worst and do the right thing and suspend Prust for 3 or 3+ before announcing anything. If the she eps in the NHL offices know Step is coming back Sunday I can see them lowering the suspension

Desharnais needs to ****. ****ing yapping *****.

I really hope the Rangers don't let this affect their game. DO NOT play into their dirty ****ing tricks.

I normally agree with you nevesis but not here. Brassard is still a ? and if he does dress, he might be one hit from having to leave again.

Miller still isn't ready for prime time, especially as a center. Plus, the Rangers have very few righties for forwards as it is.

This will hurt if he and Brassard can't make it back.

Brassard was in a regular jersey at practice the other day. I am thinking it could be post-concussion syndrome that appeared after the morning skate yesterday.

If his shoulder was that bad, he would have been in a non-contact jersey.

Folks, if you see anything you believe to constitute trolling or any other violation of the rules, please report it to us, but do not respond. Thanks.

Brassard should have been back already. His injury is probably more serious than we've been led to believe. In no way is Miller an adequate replacement for Stepan, particularly defensively.

I don't know about game 2, but I think Brass could have easily played in game 3. The reason they may have sat him out last game is cause they were up 2-0, and maybe figured they could go up 3-0 without him. I think he plays Sunday for sure now.

Stepan, it depends.

Yet with those tools, his NHL production has been nonexistent. This isn't even getting into how awful hes been when it comes to defensive awareness.

This is the Eastern Conference finals, not a regular season stretch in November. At least then Im much more able to deal with player comparisons that simply arent true

Can comments made in interviews be used by the department of safety in a case about intent to injure?

Specifically how Prust was the most outspoken Habs player about the Kreider incident and how the Habs would be a "different" team last night?

Of course he does.

It was at minimum, a late hit. Interference isn't "a pretty good hit".

So illegal and dangerous hits are now accepted as 'setting the tone'. Boston fans have been fully vindicated. Montreal is quite the collection of d-bags.

Brassard will be back, and Miller can fill in for Stepan. This isn't as bad as you're making it out to be.

If Brassard is back, that would be huge.

If both are out for an extended period of time, its terrible.

I know I am pessimistic. But I think missing your top two centers/two of your top three centers is extremely tough to overcome.

I don't think players like Miller will fill the gap for Brassard (a player who scores clutch playoff goals) and Stepan (a proven 50+ point center)

I'm shocked others aren't as disappointed/pessimistic as I losing two very valuable pieces to the team in a matter of three games.

This is not good.

I picked Brassard in a playoff pool for Game 2 and he was injured on the first shift

I pick Stepan last night and this happens

Im picking a Hab in Game 4.

JT Miller will be a great addition to the lineup. He has lots of speed, and skill. He's the real deal. A little raw right now, but he can help this team.

Yes^.
Not hags/kreider speed, but otherwise yes.

Lineups should be:

Kreider - Miller - MSL
Pou - Brass - Zuc
Hags - D. Moore - Nash.
Richards - Boyle - Dorsett

my guess is Prust will be out for the rest of the playoffs at min.

Rangers will now win in 5 or 6

However, need something more for West Champ. Maybe Fast/Lindberg ?

At least we got rid of Prust for the rest of the series. Late hit to the head with injury, can't get much worse. Suspension upcoming.

I agree with you. There are few worse things that could happen as this roster is constructed.

Quite possibly this is the moment we will all look to for years when rehashing this run. But the only thing you can do is hope Brass can come back, and Miller/Moore can be used to effectively score/defend. That AV can continue to coach well and juggle personnel. He will need to be creative.
