If Stanley could learn to control his harder slapshots and keep them low he could create some real chaos in front of the net and would likely get a lot more tips.
Yeah, hopefully that’s something that they work on with him. He does have a tendency to try and just bury the high hard one too often. Put it where someone can get a stick on it, far more beneficial in the NHL.

Interesting on Illegal curve podcast today they said Logan had approximately $200,000 bonus money for being in the top 3 for the Jets in +-

who does a plus-minus bonus? I went to cap friendly but I don’t know how to search the bonus details

I think the bonus options are standardized across the NHL, but I could be wrong. The amounts can vary, though.

I think he will figure the shooting aspect of the game as he gains experience.

If he is one of those guys that has a hard shot - and I mean top percentile hard, I'd like him to keep it coming but keep it low.
Getting sticks on point shots is part of it and you'll see a lot of dmen that don't necessarily have the big clapper, use that type of shot.

Those with the big shot have another tool in the kit - Rebounds are something we seldom see from our shooters. Hard shots are harder to control for goaltenders and can create a lot of confusion in front. That, combined with the deflection option on more precise shots, make the blueline much more dangerous

I'd like to see him continue to work on his shot - low and accurate would add a new dimension to our offense and especially PP (if Stanley can work his way into that role at some point).

You know, I'm not sure what Chevy and his scout crew do to mine these gems in the draft and with trades, but it happens so regularly that it can't be a fluke.

I hope Chipman and Thomson pay them whatever they want to keep them here for as long as possible, because our depth is arguably better than it has ever been. We haven't even seen PLD get going yet - imagine once that happens!

Loving the play of Stanley lately! Shades of Buff with the ragdolling of opposition. More please!

Who is a comparable for this kid? People say Chara (because of his height) but that seems silly - too high a bar.

Does he have much offensive upside?

Kid seems to have arrived. These 2 PO games have been his 2 best in the NHL. He is not intimidated by the reigning Hart Trophy holder nor the Best Player in The World.

Who knows. Maybe?? Probably not and we just love him anyway.

He's come a long way from the #15 prospect on our boards to start the season. No more talk about Cholowski, or anyone else in that #18 draft spot. Starting to look like a good draft day move. Physicality and shots from the point were areas that we have sorely missed since Buff's departure. Stanley is stepping up these playoffs. I'm glad the coaching staff gave him a shot.
