Panthers is not a good defensive team in terms of coaching or structure. The forwards are all working their asses off to backcheck, but the Panthers allow the most shots per game in this playoff series.

This is a team that has benefitted the most from questionable reffing, very hot goal tending and their stars coming very clutch.

The Carolina game last night was very close, as has each of the games and they seem to not be getting any puck luck. They really are missing Svechnikov.
I disagree politely. I think they are using Bob for sure and he is playing great, but he is a part of the team and the way they are playing greatly compliments the players and their goalie. They know they can trust him to make the saves, but if you watch their neutral zone coverage, forechecking etc. they play as a unit and they are very well coached on how to play. Just my opinion, of course.

Speaking of reffing, I think each team had their own share of bad reffing influencing their game. I don't think the Panthers had any advantage comparing to some other teams. But, yes, reffing has not been great at all.

I remember I used to watch Bruce Cassidy when he played defense for the Ottawa 67's. They won the Memorial Cup in 1984 with Cassidy on the team. He has worked hard and paid his dues. He took the long road and nothing has been gifted to him.

First four games all went to o.t lol literally has never happened before. Only one of the first 6 games wasn't a 1 goal game and that was tonight. What are you talking about.

Benn through the game away for his team one of the dumbest/most selfish plays I can remember seeing in my lifetime.

Can’t like this enough.

It’s been amazing hockey and goaltending has been key both to the success of the Florida Panthers and the failure of the Dallas Stars.

I have been amazed at how disciplined and reserved Florida has played. Like I feel when I watch them they’re a ‘slow’ team - but that’s by design. Maurice has them playing a little back in their zone and relying on stick work to keep their stamina up.

Like what was the stat at the end of the first period last game… At 1:42 to go Carolina evened out with puck possession at 9:20 a piece but they were outshooting Florida 20-2 or something literally bonkers.

Is Benn's time in Dallas over? I mean he single-handedly tanked this series for Dallas. How does a team captain ever come back from those actions? I just don't see how he could go on leading this team next year after what he did.

Dallas is another good regular season team with a number of skilled forwards who don't like rough & tough hockey which is what Vegas plays all the time along with stifling defensively. Big mistake by Benn who actually does play a tough style of hockey.

How is playing Edmonton and Dallas an easy playoff braket?
I'd say Dallas being down 3-0 is a little surprising, although 2 games went to OT and that's usually a coin flip. But Winnipeg was a layup and Edmonton has an average D, below average G with almost no experience, no depth scoring and average on faceoffs. So no surprise that they beat both of those teams, pretty easily. Three things working against Dallas: old at a lot of their important depth positions, little D scoring after Heiskanen, goaltending has fallen off.

Grain of salt on the Brady in FLA with his Bro and having a good time after the game. Have to consider the source for about a nanosecond.
I am a degenerate because I like to have a good time. So be it.
