Hard to believe we were right there in the standings with Florida not that long ago.

Florida was always much better than their record, their team wasn't drastically worse than the President's trophy winning one from the year before.

I thought Carolina was going to be in the finals, their injury situation has been very unlucky, No Svechnikov, Teravainen (until recently), Pacioretty.

If Carolina loses today, can't wait to hear about how the Leafs are better than them because they won a game.

For all those laughing about the Leaf core 4 not showing up..... I think it's clear now that they never had a chance.

I watched those games; they did everything they could (Marner, maybe not as much). They just ran into an unstoppable force. Carolina found out the same thing.

Honestly, it should be a great series with Vegas. Vegas gets the edge in talent and defense.... Florida the edge in physicality, hunger and goaltending.

Last year with Cassidy they went 51-26-5. That doesn't seem too bad...

After 6 years, almost every coach's message will get stale. Doesn't matter if it's Cassidy, Deboer, Sullivan, or any other top coach.

The only guy in the league that I think has staying power is Brind'Amour.

They lost first round and barely put up a fight players were literally quitting. If you think it wasn't time for them to move on thats up to you but i don't agree and they improved a great deal without him. I think Cassidy is a great coach but it was quite clearly time to move on.

I truly hope Batherson and Chabot are watching right now. There isn't a single player that isn't competing for every puck and making the right play in the important parts of the ice.
