It seems to happen sometimes where the first rd is a grind & some series go to 7 games & then the 2nd series goes 4 straight. for some unknown reason.

By the third round players are so hurt and tired that it's only natural to have that voice say "f*** it, let's look forward to the summer" when you're down bad in a series.

Boston were absolute morons for firing Cassidy.
Bergeron and Krejci werent coming back if he was. He's a good coach but is very hard on his guys his shelf life is short.

I'd say Dallas being down 3-0 is a little surprising, although 2 games went to OT and that's usually a coin flip. But Winnipeg was a layup and Edmonton has an average D, below average G with almost no experience, no depth scoring and average on faceoffs. So no surprise that they beat both of those teams, pretty easily. Three things working against Dallas: old at a lot of their important depth positions, little D scoring after Heiskanen, goaltending has fallen off.
Edmonton is a really good team. They have plenty of depth scoring, they are weak in nets. The D core is average but got way better when they added Ekholm. They have the best forward group in the NHL. Vegas is way better than you are giving them credit for. Thomas Harley on Dallas's back end is a stud. Vegas has got the bounces but its been a close series other than last night which was entirely on Benn.

Bergeron and Krejci bitched about Cassidy, but look what happened to them this season.

Have a amazing regular season to only choke in the 1st round. Karma at its best.

Karma? I'll take Bergeron's character any day he is a tremendous leader, player and person. Cassidy is a prick of a coach and his message wears thin. They werent responding look how they played the previous season. Boston got upset by a very very good team no matter how much this board wants to be in denial about Florida. Boston gave them way more than Toronto or Carolina.

Cassidy is a a great coach but he wont be in Vegas more than 3 more seasons book it.

I mean you are not really making that bold of a prediction considering the majority of coaches have a short life span with teams.

Ya, there were close games. The Lakers definitely outdid any predictions pre-playoffs. Good on them.
The Joker is too much and Shaq's out of the league, could Jimmy Butler be Batman?
Very close games. They just needed a few more makes at the right times and I think it'd be 2-2, but that's how it goes. Make or miss league and momentum takes over.

I think Joker is amazing, but not as dominant as Shaq, doesn't have quite the caliber of a running mate as Kobe was, so I think he's beatable, but no, probably not Miami. I think the finals are a sweep if they match up.

Last year with Cassidy they went 51-26-5. That doesn't seem too bad...

After 6 years, almost every coach's message will get stale. Doesn't matter if it's Cassidy, Deboer, Sullivan, or any other top coach.

The only guy in the league that I think has staying power is Brind'Amour.

I'd take Cassidy any day. The Sens could use what he brings.

Nice assist by White.

EDIT: nope. Classic White, fumbled shot turns into an accidental great pass.
