I don't want Florida or Vegas to win the Cup.

Vegas because they don't deserve it. And Florida because I don't want Brady's brother to win a Cup. Might make Brady want to bolt when his deal ends to a contender to try and match his brother.

Not a fan of any of the teams left, so it's hard to hold a lot of interest in it. Seems the only teams left are either jerks in the east, or teams loaded with gifted that landed in their laps in the west.

Some BS about this being Brady's team and unfounded speculation it would create locker room issues.

Really just the same kind of dumb arguments made against bringing EK65 back to Ottawa.
I don’t think concern over team dynamics is BS.

In what way? I must've missed that. I have a slight preference for Florida because they beat the leafs and it's fun for brady and i'm sure also a learning experience

If you spent enough time on the main board this year they were hard to miss.

I like watching Barkov, and Bobrovsky is a good story. Plus they beat the Leafs and sent that organization into turmoil which is kind of fun to see. I like Carolina as well as they've been on the rise for a few years. I wouldn't mind seeing either team win, I don't want either team in the west to win.

seems like the definition to me. that's a status quo/country club type of environment.
No it’s building an internal leadership group and adding solid veterans as support. Brady is 100% focused on his teammates, what happens to that dynamic if his older brother with a huge personality walks in. Sure he could work but it could also backfire. We will never know since Matthew wanted out of Canada.

So you're speculating that Bradys ego is that fragile?

And what happens if Matthew had walked in, is that we add a 100 point Hart caliber player, raise the accountability of the team, and most likely make the playoffs.

And what do you mean internal? Anyone we bring in becomes "internal".

No I’m clearly just saying that the dressing room chemistry needs to be considered. I never said we shouldnt try to add Tkachuk.

Sure, but no one around here knows anything about dressing room chemistry and the relationships between the players, as much as they like to pretend otherwise.

People were throwing around wild speculation about how adding Matthew would damage the room and undermine Brady's leadership since he's his older brother. Was pure nonsense.

no other fanbase thinks about adding Hart level players backfiring because of "dressing room chemistry" as much as this board.
A young team can be ruined by bringing in the wrong pieces. Would you want Mark Sceiffle anywhere near this group. I’m not saying don’t bring in great players, just do your due diligence.

I’m pretty sure people said it “Could” affect chemistry, nobody knows for sure. I’m sure had the org even considered it they would have asked Brady for his thoughts

Another nail in the Canes coffin.

Matthews, Karlsson, and Eichel are not Scheifeles, but it was always the same argument for all three. Can't mess with the dressing room chemistry and usually invoking Brady's name into it for some weird reason. Meanwhile, the team racks up missed playoffs and folds under pressure.

All three of those players are Hart-level players, and all three have the dog and swagger in them. They are all responsible for deep playoff runs, and if we had added any of the three, we would be a playoff team and maybe even still playing right now.

But for some reason, people downplay their leadership and in the same breath, build up the leadership of the Hamonics and Brassards, players who barely survive like thats so impressive. Or that for some reason, Brady not being the top dog is more toxic than the team not making the playoffs.

No other fanbase does this.
