Yep, I would go to as many as possible. Watching at home was rarely an option that I considered. The 2007 run got some costly though towards the end. Got shut out of the Ducks series, but was there for all of the other games with the exception of 1.

I love what the Oil are doing with their arena for away games. If I lived in Ottawa andwe made the playoffs and we had this, I'd go for sure. Desperate for playoff hockey atmosphere

Yes unfortunately, how was ottawa so terrible at that draft table. Its honestly insane how bad that draft is.
Funny when looking back, was told I had no credibility (as though a message board has any in the first place) when saying the 2021 was very bad, because I said Thomson was a bad pick and he's proven to be a diamond in the rough, should stop criticizing the scouting staff when I'm wrong so often

I fell asleep when it was 4-1 in the third period. Woke up during post game interviews. I thought it was a bad dream Lol.

I still got my pay out with Bet365 because of the early payout bonus (your team goes up by 3 automatic payout) :)

I was really hoping for a first round exit. I suppose there still a chance.

This team's first round drafting has been such a mixed bag.

It's been fantastic at the very top of the draft, very poor outside that from 10-30, Chabot is really the only real for the Sens since 2010 outside the top 6 picks, with Grieg looking like a promising 2nd/3rd line guy.
Pageau in 2011 and Batherson in 2017 could also fit the bill, but still – woof. Some serviceable bodies, but no one in there who jumps off the page positively otherwise.

Anyone like what they are seeing in Matthew Knies?

Taken 57OA by Toronto.

Would you give up any of 10OA Boucher, 39OA Ostapchuk or 49OA Roger for him?
This is borderline trolling LOL.

I will trade Boucher and Roger now, straight up!

Toronto played better last year (when dubas Alledgedly did what he wanted and just got small, analytics players). This year they don’t look good at all but look at vasilevskys numbers lol. If vasilevsky was vasilvsky this series is very very easily 3-1 the other way. But of course it’s because the leafs went out and got Luke Schenn!!
I mean they got players that are hard to play against and win tight games and its working to an extent. O'Rielly has been a complete game changer. Frankly Schenn has been really good id take him here in Ottawa in a heart beat. Just shows that you dont win games with analytics you win with guys that can win a key faceoff or make a big play when it counts.

Helps when you have a sick rink downtown. Id never go out to the CTC to watch a playoff game.

Win games when the other teams goalie is shit. And when bounces go your way.

Oreilly IS and analytics darling lol. Been so forever.

I remember going to the Corel Centre for the away game 7 of the series against Toronto, the game with the infamous Nieuwendyk goals against Lalime. The Jumbotron wasn't so Jumbo back then, but it was free entry at least IIRC.

I remember going to the CTC to watch a regular season away game vs Flyers to complete the Hamburglar run. Clinched and eliminated Boston on that day. Fun times.

Not this year he hasnt been. He has won a bunch of key faceoffs, had some big blocks. Its clear that his Prescence has allowed their young offensive guys to settle in and do their thing. They have a conn smyth winner to turn to and look at in the room inbetween periods. Changes the entire dynamic. Yes Vasi has struggled but the leafs are making the small plays they didnt used to.

not even close to trolling. I realize the gate keepers and the at all cost apologists may get their panties twisted up but its worth a look imo. Knies was good out of the gate you could tell early on the Leafs had a good one. That 2021 draft was heavily impacted by Covid. It doesn't look like the Sens were very well prepared for it. Knies did not lose his season like many in the CHL/ OHL. USHL produces good players every year. Still bums in the seats scouting was no doubt impacted for those needing to travel.
I like the Ostapchuk pick where we got him. He may go higher in a redraft but at the time that was about right for him I thought. Things could not have worked out much worse for Boucher but he still brings that enticing physical presence with some good tools. He has missed a lot of hockey. Really difficult to slot him very high in the lineup today. Hopefully a full season in Belleville will help sort that out.

I think it's officially worn off. It's been too long since we had any meaningful games against the Leafs and could call it a rivalry. I just don't have the energy to continue hating on them and there's a small part of me that is actually rooting for them this time. Feels weird. Blech. Go Edmonton and Go Lakers!

You don’t live in Ottawa right? Leaf fans are everywhere. Under no circumstances do I want them to succeed. They will be insufferable.

I do not. That must be the difference. I guess it's not so much an Ottawa Senators thing with that rivalry having died out many years ago, but rather being subjected to their fan base constantly.

I sort of feel bad for them. It felt fun to hate on them for a while with nothing to cheer for in Sens land, but its gone on so long I couldn't keep the energy up anymore.
